Stack-On support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
Where can I find the serial number on my Stack-On safe?
The serial number is typically located on a tag on the back of the safe or on the front bottom corner. It is important to record this number and keep it in a secure place outside of the safe.
-
What should I do if I lose my keys or combination?
If you have registered your product on the Stack-On website, you may be able to retrieve your key number or combination instantly. Otherwise, you will need to contact customer support with proof of purchase and the serial number.
-
How do I replace the batteries in my electronic lock?
Open the safe door using the override key if necessary. Locate the battery compartment (often behind the keypad or on the inside of the door), remove the old batteries, and replace them with fresh alkaline batteries.
-
Does my Stack-On safe need to be mounted to the floor?
Yes, for optimal safety and security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to the floor or a wall stud using the pre-drilled holes and included hardware. This prevents the safe from tipping over or being removed.
-
Can I store electronic media or photos in a fireproof safe?
Standard fireproof safes are designed to protect paper documents. Electronic media, photographic negatives, and pearls may be damaged by the internal temperatures a fireproof safe can reach during a fire. Specialized media coolers or containers may be required.
