Reboot support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
What does the OC light mean on my Reboot welder?
The OC (Over Current) light indicates that the machine has triggered its overheat or overcurrent protection. This is a normal safety feature. Stop welding but keep the machine powered on so the fan can cool the internal components. The light should turn off once the machine returns to a safe operating temperature.
-
How do I set the polarity for gasless flux-cored welding?
For gasless flux-cored wire (MIG), you typically use DCEN (Direct Current Electrode Negative). Connect the grounding clamp to the positive (+) terminal and the MIG torch to the negative (-) terminal.
-
Can Reboot welders weld aluminum?
Yes, many Reboot multi-process units support aluminum welding. This usually requires a spool gun (sold separately) or a specific setup with a graphene liner and U-groove rollers, along with 100% Argon gas.
-
What size circuit breaker is recommended?
For 110V input, a 50A circuit breaker is often recommended. For 220V input, a 30A circuit breaker is generally sufficient, though requirements may vary by specific model (e.g., RBA1400 vs RBM2100).
