This document provides a description of the CIMC 4.3(5.250030) Firmware M6 Common Update Patch for Secure Network Analytics along with instructions for installing the patch.
This firmware update can be performed using either the SWU file/procedura ili ISO file/postupak opisan u nastavku:

1. Prijavite se na Cisco Software Central, https://software.cisco.com.

5. Under Select a Software Type, choose Secure Network Analytics Patches, then choose Firmware > Firmware in the All Release area to locate the patch.

Instalacija

2. On the Network Analytics page, choose Configure > Global > Central Management.

4. On the Update Manager page, click Upload, and then open the saved file, patchcommon-SNA-FIRMWARE-20250403-v2-01.swu.

   The patch stops the Vertica Database, then restarts the appliance.
6. Make sure you restart Vertica on any Data Node after the update patch file uspješno se instalira na sve podatkovne čvorove.

b. Go to Central Management > Data Store > Database Control.
c. Under the Database Control tab, click the (Ellipsis) icon in the Actions column for the database.

7. There are two ways of installing ISO:

o Installation Using CIMC-Mapped vDVD

To install the firmware patch from an ISO image, use the vKVM console of an M6 machine.

1. Log in to the unit’s Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) interface using a web pretraživač.
2. Select Launch KVM on the toolbar, if prompted, select HTML based KVM.
3. The Virtual Console opens in a new browser tab.
4. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media to check for existing mappings. If any mappings exist (either vKVM-Mapped or CIMC-Mapped), eject them.

10. When the Please select boot device: dialog box appears, select Cisco vKVMMapped vDVD2.00.The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, causing a temporary loss of connection. If this occurs, log in to the CIMC again and re-launch the vKVM Console to continue monitoring the update. Once the firmware update is complete, the ISO will be ejected or unmounted, and the SNA appliance will reboot.
11. Verify on the CIMC Chassis Summary page that the firmware has been updated.

5. In the Map Virtual Media – CD/DVD dialog box, complete the following steps:
   a. In the Name field, enter a descriptive name (for example, Firmware_ 2025).

6. From the vKVM console, click Virtual Media to verify that the mapping is in effect.

8. Press the F6 key on your keyboard when the Cisco logo and boot messages appear in the vKVM console.
9. When the Please select boot device: dialog box appears, select Cisco CIMC-Mapped vDVD2.00.The firmware update initiates. The CIMC may reboot during the update process, after which the firmware update will continue. A CIMC reboot will cause a temporary loss of connection. Log in to the CIMC again and relaunch the vKVM Console to monitor
   the update progress.
   After the firmware update is complete, the ISO will not be automatically unmapped. Be sure to manually unmap the ISO before performing another reboot.
10. In the vKVM console, after you see the message All fileNakon što je kopiran i verifikovan, ISO je učitan i ažuriranje firmvera počinje. U ovom trenutku je sigurno izbaciti ili odmapirati prethodno mapirani ISO firmvera.
11. From the vKVM console, select Virtual Media and click the name of the previously configured mapping to eject or unmap it.

13. On the CIMC Chassis Summary page, verify that the firmware has been updated to the expected version.
