First-Time Setup

Earbuds with Auto-Connect Function

Step 1: Auto-Connect Function

A. Remove earbuds from charging case and remove stickers.

B. Press and hold each earbud for at least 3 seconds. A blue-white blinking light on one earbud indicates that it can be connected to your device.

Step 2: Connect with Bluetooth

Select 'JLab Epic Air ANC' in your device settings. Two beeps, followed by a solid white light, indicate you are connected.

Add New / Additional Bluetooth Devices

Turn OFF Bluetooth on any previously connected device. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. Remove the earbuds from the case. The earbuds will automatically initiate Bluetooth pairing. Select 'JLab Epic Air ANC' in the new device's settings to connect.

Controls

Left Sensor

Decrease Volume: Tap once
Siri (iOS) or 'OK Google' (ANDROID): Tap twice
Awareness / ANC On / ANC Off: Press and hold for at least 1 second
Change EQ: Tap 3 times

Right Sensor

Increase Volume: Tap once
Play / Pause: Tap twice
Next Track: Press and hold for at least 1 second
Answer: Tap once on left or right
Hang Up: Tap twice on left or right
Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold left or right for at least 1 second

Music / Movie Mode

Press both touch sensors simultaneously and hold for at least 3 seconds.

Turn Off Without Charging Case

Turn off Bluetooth in device settings. The earbuds will turn off after 3 minutes.

Voice and Sound Prompts

Power On: Chime
Bluetooth Pairing: 'Ready to pair'. Epic Air ANC is ready to connect to your Bluetooth device.
Awareness On/Off: 1 beep / 2 beeps
ANC On/Off: Chime
Connected to Bluetooth Device: 2 beeps. Earbud is connected to device.
Battery Full: 'Battery full' (100-80%)
Battery Medium: 'Battery medium' (80-20%)
Battery Low: 'Battery low' (less than 20%. When battery level drops to 10%, 'Battery low' will be announced once)
Power Off: Chime

Equalizer Modes

Tap both earbuds 3 times for different EQ settings. Voice prompts will announce the EQ settings (Epic Air ANC cycles through 4 EQ settings). Customize each EQ setting by downloading the JLab Sound App from the Apple/Google Play Store.

JLab Signature (One beep): JLab C3™ Signature Sound with enhanced vocals and bass
Balanced (Two beeps): Even sound without extra amplification
Bass Boost (Three beeps): Enhanced bass and sub-bass
Custom EQ (Beep): Custom EQ setting (download the JLab Sound App to customize)

Automatic On/Off

Step 1: Power Off

When you place the earbuds in the charging case, they will turn OFF and begin charging. Blue lights indicate the earbuds are charging and will turn off once fully charged.

Step 2: Power On

When removed from the charging case, they will automatically turn ON and connect.

Charging

Wired Charging

Connect the Epic Air ANC to a computer or a USB power source with 5V 1A (or less).

The LEDs blink white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Wireless Charging

Place the charging case on a wireless charging platform.

The LEDs blink white while charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Fit

Try all ear tips for a comfortable fit and proper seal.

Insert the ear tips into your ear canal and twist slightly to achieve an optimal fit.

Troubleshooting

No Sound in One Earbud or Earbuds Not Connected (Manual Reset)

Go to Bluetooth device settings and forget the JLab Epic Air ANC. Fig. A
Leave earbuds in the charging case and tap the touch sensor 7 times quickly on ONE earbud. The light will blink blue 4 times. Fig. C
Repeat the process with the second earbud. Tap the touch sensor 7 times quickly. The light will blink blue 4 times. Fig. C
Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait until one earbud turns solid white and the other blinks blue/white. You are now ready to connect to your Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting/Reconnecting

Go to Bluetooth device settings and forget the JLab Epic Air ANC. Fig. A
Turn the Bluetooth function OFF and then ON again. Fig. B
Remove the earbuds from the case. Wait until one earbud turns solid white and the other blinks blue/white.
Select 'JLab Epic Air ANC' in device settings to reconnect the device.

Quick Tips

The left or right earbud can be used independently for music and phone calls. Simply select one earbud and remove it from the case to connect.
Only ONE Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on unwanted devices and turn it on on the selected device to connect.
Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case to avoid damaging the case.

Warnings

Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case. Moist or wet earbuds will cause damage to the charging case. The warranty is void if the charging case shows damage from water/sweat.

Cautions

Avoid extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
Wax may accumulate in the ear tips, affecting sound quality. Carefully remove wax with a cotton swab or other small tool to improve sound quality.
If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily discontinuing use.
If you regularly experience discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
We recommend treating your earbuds like a fine pair of sunglasses and storing them in a safe place when not in use.
