First Time Setup

1. Auto-Connecting Earbuds

A. Preparation: Take the earbuds out of the charging case and remove any protective stickers.

B. Pairing: Press and hold the touch sensor on each earbud for 3+ seconds. A blinking blue and white light on one earbud indicates it is ready to pair to your device.

2. Connecting Bluetooth

Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's ? Bluetooth settings. A voice prompt "Bluetooth connected" followed by solid white lights on the earbuds indicates a successful connection.

Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices

Turn OFF ? Bluetooth on any previously connected device. Turn ON ? Bluetooth on the new device. Take the earbuds out of the case; they will automatically enter Bluetooth Pairing mode. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in the new device's settings to connect.

Controls

The earbuds feature touch sensors for various controls:

Left Touch Sensor

Volume Down: Single tap.
Voice Assistant (Siri/Google): ?️ Double tap.
Be Aware / ANC On / ANC Off: Press and hold for 1+ second.
EQ Change: ?️ Triple tap.

Right Touch Sensor

Volume Up: Single tap.
Play / Pause: ▶️ Double tap.
Track Forward: ⏩ Press and hold for 1+ second.
EQ Change: ?️ Triple tap.

Call Controls

Answer Call: Single tap Left or Right earbud. ?
Hang Up Call: Double tap Left or Right earbud. ☎️
Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold Left or Right earbud for 1+ seconds. ?

Music / Movie Mode: Press and hold both touch sensors simultaneously for 3+ seconds. ?

Power Off Without Charging Case: Turn off ? Bluetooth from your device settings. The earbuds will power off automatically after 3 minutes. ⚡

Voice Prompts

The earbuds provide voice prompts for various states:

"Hello": Power ON ⚡
"Ready to Pair": Earbuds are ready to pair to your Bluetooth device.
"Be Aware": Hear your surroundings.
"ANC ON": Noise canceling is active.
"ANC OFF": Noise canceling is deactivated.
"Bluetooth Connected": ? Earbuds are connected to the device.
"Battery Full": Battery level is 100-75%.
"Battery Medium": Battery level is 75-25%.
"Low Battery": Battery level is less than 25%. (Will play once when power drops to 10%).
"Goodbye": Power OFF ⚡

Equalizer Modes

Triple tap either earbud to cycle through 4 EQ settings. Voice prompts will announce the selected EQ. Customize EQ settings using the JLab Sound App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

JLab Signature: JLab C³™ signature sound with amplified bass and vocals.
Balanced: Even sound with no additional enhancements.
Bass Boost: Amplified bass and sub-bass.
Beep: Custom EQ setting (requires JLab Sound App).

Auto-Power On/Off

Powering Off: Placing the earbuds in the charging case will power them OFF ⚡ and start charging ?. Blue indicator lights on the earbuds show they are charging and will turn off when fully charged.
Powering On: When taken out of the charging case, the earbuds will automatically power ON ⚡ and connect to the last paired device.

Charging

Wired Charging

Connect the Epic Air ANC charging case to a computer or USB 5V 1A (or less) output device using a USB cable. The charging case LEDs will pulse white while charging ? and turn solid white when fully charged.

Wireless Charging

Place the charging case on a compatible wireless charging platform. The charging case LEDs will pulse white while charging ? and turn solid white when fully charged.

Fitting

Try all included ear tips to find the best fit and ensure a proper seal for optimal sound quality and noise cancellation. Place the earbud in the ear canal and slightly rotate it to adjust for the best fit.

Download the Tile app and activate it to help locate your earbuds if misplaced. Learn more at jlab.com/tileapp. Note: Activating Tile may reduce earbud playtime.

Download the App

Customize your Epic Air ANC features and update the latest software by downloading the JLab Sound App from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Troubleshooting

No Audio in One Earbud or Earbuds Disconnected (Manual Reset)

On your Bluetooth device, go to ⚙️ settings and "forget" the JLab Epic Air ANC.
Keep earbuds in the charging case. On one earbud, quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The light will blink blue 4 times.
Repeat step 2 for the other earbud.
Take both earbuds out of the charging case. One earbud should turn solid white, and the other should blink blue/white. They are now ready to pair to your Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Does Not Connect/Reconnect

On your Bluetooth device, go to ⚙️ settings and "forget" the JLab Epic Air ANC.
Turn your device's ? Bluetooth OFF and then ON again.
Take the earbuds out of the charging case. Wait for one earbud to turn solid white and the other to blink blue/white.
Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's ? Bluetooth settings to reconnect.

Quick Tips

The left or right earbud can be used independently for music and phone calls. Simply choose one and take it out of the case to connect.
Only one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on unwanted devices before connecting to a new one.
Ensure earbuds are fully dry before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage.

Warning

Important: ⚠️ Fully dry off the earbuds before placing them in the charging case. If the earbuds are damp or wet, it can cause damage to the charging case. The warranty will be voided if the charging case shows damage from water or sweat.

Cautions

❗ Avoid exposure to extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
❗ Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
Earwax buildup in the earbud tips can lower sound quality. Carefully remove wax with a cotton swab or small tool.
If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use temporarily.
If regular discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Treat your earbuds with care, similar to sunglasses, and keep them in a safe location when not in use.
