This document provides assembly instructions and technical specifications for the IKEA HAMNSKÄR wash-basin mixer tap.

Tools and Materials

Required tools may include pliers and a wrench. Specific part numbers are identified in accompanying diagrams for reference.

Note: Silicone sealant is required for installation but is not included. The sealant must be water- and mould-resistant, compliant with EN 15651-3, Class XS1.

Installation Guide

ℹ️ Important: Installation must be carried out in accordance with industry regulations, such as Säker Vatteninstallation and EN 817.

⚠️ Safety First: Always switch off the main shut-off valve before changing the mixer tap.

Step 1: Sealing

Seal open surfaces with silicone to prevent water from penetrating the worktop upon any leaks.

Step 2: Connecting Hoses

Ensure the pipe connection is flat and free from sharp edges. Connect the flexible hoses. Do not overtighten hoses, pipes, or washers, as this can cause damage.

Usage and Maintenance

Before Use: Unscrew the aerator/flow guide. Allow water to run freely for a few minutes. Then, screw the aerator/flow guide back in place, ensuring it is tight to prevent removal by hand.

Maintenance: Check at regular intervals to make sure that the installation is not leaking.
