Assembly Steps
- Step 1: Prepare the Mixer Tap
Insert the fixing bolt (Part: 121844) through the base of the mixer tap unit.
- Step 2: Seal the Worktop
Apply silicone sealant (not included) to the open surfaces of the worktop where the tap will be mounted. This prevents water from penetrating the worktop in case of leaks. The silicone sealant must be water- and mould-resistant and suitable for installation, complying with EN 15651-3, Class XS1.
Maximum worktop thickness: 70 mm (2 3/4").
Required hole diameter in worktop: 34 - 37 mm (1 3/8" - 1 1/2").
- Step 3: Position the Mixer Tap
Place the mixer tap onto the sink or worktop, ensuring the fixing bolt passes through the designated mounting hole.
- Step 4: Secure the Mixer Tap
From underneath the worktop, attach the mounting bracket components (e.g., 120141, 120142) around the fixing bolt. Secure the assembly by tightening the mounting nut (Part: 121842) using the provided tool (Part: 126908).
- Step 5: Connect the Sensor Unit
Connect the sensor cable extending from the mixer tap to the battery compartment/controller unit (Part: 10004086).
- Step 6: Connect Water Supply Hoses
Connect the flexible water supply hoses to the corresponding inlets on the mixer tap. Ensure the connections are made correctly.
- Step 7: Final Hose Connections and Tightening
Connect the other ends of the flexible water supply hoses to the main water supply lines. Ensure the pipe connections are flat and free from sharp edges. IMPORTANT: Do not tighten the connections too hard, as this can damage the hoses, pipes, or washers.
- Step 8: Before First Use (Flushing)
Before using the tap, unscrew the aerator/flow guide (Part: 118875). Allow water to run freely through the tap for a few minutes to flush out any debris. Then, screw the aerator/flow guide back into place. Ensure it is tightened sufficiently to prevent it from being removed by hand.
- Step 9: Final Checks
Check at regular intervals to ensure that the installation is watertight and there are no leaks.
