Product Overview
This document provides assembly and installation instructions for the IKEA HAMNSKÄR wash-basin mixer tap.
General Installation Guidelines
Installation: Must be performed in compliance with current local construction and plumbing regulations. If in doubt, contact a professional.
Before Use: Unscrew the Aerator/Flow Guide and allow the water to run freely for a few minutes. Then screw the Aerator/Flow Guide back in place. Ensure that it is tight to prevent removal by hand.
Maintenance: Check at regular intervals to make sure that the installation is not leaking.
IMPORTANT! Do not tighten too hard: this can damage hoses/pipes and washers.

- Operating pressure: 0.5 - 10 bar (7.2 - 145 psi)

Assembly and Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Tap
Insert the long threaded rods (Part 10093113) through the base of the tap body. Ensure they are properly seated.

Place the tap assembly through the mounting hole in the sink or countertop. From underneath, attach the mounting plates (Parts 121845, 121846, 121844) and secure them with the nuts on the threaded rods. Use the provided installation tool (Part 126907) to tighten.

Connect the flexible water supply hoses (not explicitly listed as parts but implied) to the threaded rods. Tighten them securely using wrenches, but do not over-tighten.
IMPORTANT! Do not tighten too hard: this can damage hoses/pipes and washers.

Before initial use, unscrew the Aerator/Flow Guide (Part 10004087). Allow water to run freely for a few minutes to flush out any debris. Then, screw the Aerator/Flow Guide back into place and ensure it is tight enough to prevent removal by hand.

After installation, check at regular intervals to ensure the installation is not leaking.

Drain Assembly Installation
The following steps detail the installation of a compatible drain assembly.
Step 1: Insert Drain Body
Place the drain body (Part 10124727) into the sink drain hole from above. Ensure the seal (Part 10128667) is correctly positioned.

From underneath the sink, attach the mounting nut and washer (e.g., Parts 10124733/10128770 or 10124732/10128771) to the drain body. Tighten securely.

Attach the drain cover (Part 10124748) and seal (Part 10128669) to the top of the drain body. Connect the drain pipe connector (Part 10124734) to the bottom of the drain body, ensuring the seal (Part 10128671) is in place. Tighten.

Insert the stopper mechanism (Part 10044928) into the drain assembly. The mechanism allows for opening and closing the drain.

Ensure all connections are secure. Dispose of any packaging materials properly.
