This document provides installation instructions and safety information for the Resistex Miks LED downlight.
Options / Accessories
The Miks downlight offers options for adjustable orientation and low luminance.
Adjustable Orientation
The fixture can be adjusted for directional lighting. This involves attaching or detaching a ring to enable or disable the swivel mechanism.
- Diagram 1: Shows the fixture with a ring, indicating it can be detached.
- Diagram 2: Shows the fixture with the ring removed, and an arrow indicating it can be reattached.
- Diagram 3: Illustrates the fixture with the ring attached and rotated, demonstrating its adjustable functionality.
Low Luminance
A specific diffuser can be attached to achieve low luminance output.
- Diagram 1: Depicts the fixture with a standard diffuser.
- Diagram 2: Shows the fixture with a different, low-luminance diffuser being attached.
- Diagram 3: Presents the fixture with the low-luminance diffuser correctly installed.
Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Step 1: Cutout Preparation
Mark and cut a circular opening in the mounting surface with a diameter of Ø69mm (+/-1mm). A template or the fixture's diameter is shown for reference.
- Step 2: Fixture Insertion
Insert the Resistex Miks downlight fixture into the prepared cutout from below.
- Step 3: Securing the Fixture
Rotate the fixture within the ceiling opening to engage its securing mechanism.
- Step 4: Wire Connection Preparation
The power cable is shown entering a connector block.
- Step 5: Opening the Connector
Open the connector block, typically by lifting a lever or clip.
- Step 6: Inserting Wires
Connect the Live (L), Neutral (N), and Earth (PE) wires to their corresponding terminals within the open connector block.
- Step 7: Closing the Connector
Close the connector block, ensuring the wires are securely held in place.
- Step 8: Final Securing
The fixture is fully inserted into the ceiling. Spring clips on the fixture engage with the mounting surface to hold it firmly.
- Step 9: Connection Verification
A close-up view shows the wiring connection. A diagram indicates correct wire insertion (✔️) and incorrect connection (❌).
- Step 10: Completed Installation
The Resistex Miks downlight is shown installed flush with the ceiling surface.
Safety Notes
Important: Never work on the luminaire when it is live (under voltage).
Installation must be performed by a professional installer, adhering to all relevant electrical installation standards and regulations.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Risk: Handle the fixture with necessary precautions to prevent damage from static electricity.
Please observe all instructions and mounting steps carefully.
Maintenance Instructions
Do not use chemical or abrasive products to clean the fixture.
