Assembly Steps
Cam Installation Guide
Installing Cam: Identify the arrow on the head of the cam. The arrow MUST point toward the hole in the edge of the panel. Push the cam all the way down into the hole.
Cam and Dowel Alignment: Ensure the arrow on the cam points toward the corresponding hole and insert the cam dowel into its hole. Make sure the pieces join together securely.
Tightening Cam: Use a screwdriver to turn the cam. Turn the cam clockwise until fully tightened. This is slightly more than half a turn.
Step-by-Step Assembly
Step 1: Attach the side panels (P106833, P106834) to the baseboard (P106837) and one of the top panels (P106835 or P106838) using wood dowels (001802), cams (030950), and screws (e.g., 004214, 005256). Ensure cams are tightened clockwise.
Step 2: Continue frame assembly, potentially attaching the second top panel or internal supports.
Step 3: Slide the back panel (P106839) into the grooves of the side and top/base panels. Secure with nails (000107 or 000108) or screws if applicable.
Step 4: Prepare the drawer components. Lay out drawer front (P106844), drawer bottom (P106845), and drawer sides (P106851, P106853), and drawer head (P106852).
Step 5: Assemble the drawer box by connecting the sides to the front and head using dowels and cams/screws. Slide the drawer bottom into the grooves and secure it.
Step 6: Attach the drawer slides (PX) to the assembled drawer box and the corresponding locations inside the main unit. Attach the door handle (075515) to the drawer front.
Step 7: Insert the assembled drawers into the main unit, ensuring the slides engage correctly.
Step 8-18: These steps likely involve repeating the drawer assembly process for all drawers and completing the main unit structure, potentially attaching the second top panel or other internal supports.
Step 19: Prepare for wall mounting. For drywall installation, drill a 0.39 inch (approx. 10mm) hole. Insert the drywall anchor (032069) by compressing its wings before insertion, then pushing it into the hole until flush. If using a different base material, follow appropriate drilling and anchor procedures.
Step 20: Secure the unit to the wall. Position the unit, align the wall mounting support (055606) with the anchor, and insert a screw (e.g., 051980 or 054117) through the support and into the anchor. Continue rotating the screw until maximum torque is reached to ensure the anchor's expansion function. The minimum screw length must be the anchor length plus the thickness of the object being fixed.
Step 21: Final check of all connections and stability.
