First Setup

1. Automatic Earbud Pairing

To turn on the earbuds, press and hold both touch sensors for over 3 seconds. One earbud will light up with a solid white light, and the other will begin to flash blue/white, indicating it is ready to pair with your device. ▶️ [hold 3s]

2. Pairing via Bluetooth

In your device settings, select 'JLab JBuds Air'. You will hear two audio cues followed by a solid white light, indicating you are connected.

Adding New / Additional Devices via Bluetooth

Turn off Bluetooth on all previously connected devices. Turn on Bluetooth on the new device. Remove the earbuds from the charging case. The earbuds will automatically begin pairing via Bluetooth. In your new device's settings, select 'JLab JBuds Air' to connect.

Left Earbud

VOLUME DOWN: Single tap
SIRI (iOS) OR 'OK GOOGLE' (ANDROID): Double tap ? [voice assistant]
ANSWER CALL: Single tap ? [call]
END CALL: Double tap ? [call]
REJECT INCOMING CALL: Press and hold for over 1 second ?? [reject call]
PREVIOUS TRACK: Press and hold for over 1 second ⏪ [previous]

Right Earbud

VOLUME UP: Single tap

PLAY / PAUSE: Double tap ▶️ / ⏸️ [play/pause]
NEXT TRACK: Press and hold for over 1 second ⏩ [next]

Voice Prompts

POWER ON: Beep
BLUETOOTH CONNECTED: Two beeps
LOW BATTERY: "Low battery" (less than 20%)
POWER OFF: Beep

Turning Off Earbuds Without Charging Case

Open your device's Bluetooth settings and disconnect JBuds Air. The earbuds will turn off after 3 minutes.

Individual EQ3 Sound Modes

Triple tap the right or left earbud for different EQ settings (JBuds Air will cycle through 3 EQ presets).

JLab SIGNATURE (One Beep): Signature JLab C3™ sound with enhanced vocals and bass.
BALANCED (Two Beeps): Even sound with no extra sound enhancements.
BASS BOOST (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and sub-bass.

Charging the Earbuds

Align the corresponding L (Left) and R (Right) indicators on the charging case for proper charging. The earbuds will automatically turn off and begin charging. A blue light indicates the earbuds are charging and will turn off when fully charged. Visual Description: Image showing L and R earbuds being placed into the charging case.
The earbuds will automatically turn on and reconnect to your device when removed from the case.

Charging Case

Connect the JBuds Air to a computer or a USB 5V 1A (or less) power source. Indicator lights pulse white while charging and turn solid white when the earbuds are fully charged. Visual Description: Image showing the charging case connected to a laptop via USB.

Fitment

Try all optional Cush Fin ear tips and ear tips to ensure the best fit and seal. Cush Fin ear tips should be fitted by aligning the contour around the microphone opening. Visual Description: Diagram showing an earbud with a 'Cush Fin' and an 'ear tip'.

Troubleshooting

No Sound in One Earbud (Manual Reset)

Open your device's Bluetooth settings and select the 'forget device' option for JBuds Air. Visual Description: Screenshot of Bluetooth settings showing 'JLab JBuds Air' and an option to forget/disconnect.
Open the charging case and place both earbuds inside. On ONE earbud, quickly tap the button 7 times. The light will flash blue 4 times. Leave the earbuds in the charging case.
Repeat with the other earbud. Quickly tap the button 7 times. The light will flash blue 4 times.
Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait for one earbud to light up solid blue, and the other to flash blue/white. You are now ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting

Open the charging case and wait for one earbud to light up solid blue, and the other to flash blue/white.

Call Echo

If you experience microphone echo or call quality issues with the JBuds Air, ensure the Cush Fin ear tip is not blocking the microphone input. Quick Tips

Completely dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the case. The earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the case is not.
Each earbud can connect to your device and be used independently. Simply remove an earbud from the charging case, and it will automatically connect.
Choosing the correct ear tip significantly improves sound quality by providing a proper seal for the driver. Try all ear tips for the best results.

Warning

Completely dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the case. The earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the case is not.

Caution

Avoid extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
Earwax can accumulate on ear tips, reducing sound quality. Carefully remove earwax with a cotton swab or other small tool to restore sound quality.
If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily stop using the earbuds.
If you experience persistent discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
