First Setup
1. Automatic Earbud Pairing
To power on, press and hold both touch sensors for at least 3 seconds. One earbud will flash white, and the other will flash blue or white, indicating it is ready to pair with your device.
Action: Press and hold touch sensor for 3+ seconds
2. Bluetooth Connection
Select 'JLab JBuds Air' in your device settings. Two beeps and a solid white light indicate a successful connection.

Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices
Turn OFF Bluetooth on all previously connected devices. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. Remove earbuds from the case. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select 'JLab JBuds Air' in your device settings to connect.
Button Functions
Left Earbud
- Volume Down: Single tap
- Siri (iOS) or 'OK Google' (Android): Double tap
- Answer/End Call: Single tap
- Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Previous Track: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
- EQ Toggle: Triple tap
Right Earbud
- Volume Up: Single tap
- Answer/Call: Single tap
- End Call: Double tap
- Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Play/Pause: Double tap
- Next Track: Press and hold for over 1 second
- Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
- EQ Toggle: Triple tap
Audio Cues
- Power On: Chime
- Bluetooth Connected: 2 beeps
- Battery Low: “Low battery” alert (less than 20%)
- Power Off: Chime
Powering Off Earbuds Without Case
Go to your Bluetooth device settings and disconnect 'JBuds Air'. The earbuds will power off after 3 minutes.
Custom EQ³ Modes
Tap either the right or left earbud 3 times for different EQ settings (JBuds Air cycles through 3 EQ settings).
- JLab SIGNATURE (One Beep): JLab C3™ Signature, the brand's unique sound with amplified audio and bass.
- BALANCED (Two Beeps): Even sound, without additional amplification.
- BASS BOOST (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and sub-bass.
Charging the Earbuds
1. Earbud Placement
For proper charging, place the earbuds in the case according to the L (left) and R (right) indicators on the charging case. The earbuds will automatically power off and begin charging. A blue light indicates the earbud is charging; the light will turn off when charging is complete.

2. Auto-Connection
When you remove the earbuds from the case, they will instantly power on and connect to your device.

Charging Case
Connect your JBuds Air to a computer or a 5V/1A (or lower) rated USB output device. During charging, the LEDs will flash white, then remain solid white once charging is complete.

For the best fit and perfect sound isolation, try each Cush Fin flexible support and all ear tips.

Troubleshooting
One Earbud Not Working (Manual Reset)
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and disconnect 'JBuds Air'.
- Open the charging case and keep both earbuds inside. Quickly tap the touch sensor on ONE earbud seven times. It will flash blue four times. Keep earbuds in the case.
- Repeat the process for the other earbud. Quickly tap the touch sensor seven times. It will flash blue four times.
- Remove both earbuds from the case. Wait for one earbud to flash white and the other to flash blue or remain solid white. You can now pair your earbuds with a Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and disconnect 'JBuds Air'.
- On your device, turn Bluetooth OFF, then ON.
- Open the charging case and wait for one earbud to flash white, while the other flashes blue or remains solid white.
- To reconnect, select 'JLab JBuds Air' in your device settings.

Echo During Phone Calls
If you experience microphone echo or low call quality while using JBuds Air, ensure the Cush Fin flexible support is not covering the microphone opening.

Quick Tips
- To avoid damaging the charging case, completely dry the earbuds before placing them back in the case. The earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the charging case is not.
- Either earbud can connect to your device and be used independently. Simply remove an earbud from the case, and it will automatically connect.
- Selecting the correct ear tip can significantly improve sound quality due to perfect sound isolation from the speaker. For best results, try all ear tips.
Warnings and Cautions

Caution
- Avoid extreme high or low temperatures or humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
- Earwax may accumulate in the ear tip, reducing sound quality. To improve sound quality, carefully remove earwax with a dry cotton swab or small tool.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try reducing the volume or discontinue use of the device temporarily.
- If you experience persistent discomfort while using the product, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
- It is recommended to treat the earbuds like a valuable pair of sunglasses: store them in a safe place when not in use.
