Description and Applications
The BDH is a humidity-controlled air vent designed for technical rooms in individual houses and collective housing, for both new builds and renovations. It is a small model suitable for flow rates less than 50 m³/h.
Domaines d'application (Application Areas)
- Residential collective housing
- Residential individual housing
- New construction
- Renovation
Installation Guidelines (Mise en œuvre)
- Install the BDH vent in humid or technical rooms such as bathrooms, WCs, or pantries.
- Position the vent on the upper part of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters from the floor.
- Ensure the vent is accessible and removable, with a minimum clearance of 20 cm between the vent's center and adjacent walls or surfaces not directly connected to the duct.
- Maintain optimal airtightness between the vent and the connecting duct. This is improved by using a cuff. A metal cuff is recommended for collective housing (mandatory stainless steel cuff for VMC Gaz), while a plastic cuff can be used for individual homes.
- Versions with a 125 mm spigot can be directly fitted (with O-ring) into cuffs, RT Flex, rigid, or semi-rigid ducts.
- Versions with an 80 mm spigot fit by push-fitting into cuffs, rigid, or semi-rigid ducts.
- For ceiling installations or installations above furniture, use a cord return fitting (ref 11015001).
- For electric versions, two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (ref 11026011) are required.
- The vents operate within a pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
- Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is prohibited to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC network (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
- Before replacing an old vent, record the pressure and the type of housing.
