Aldes W16 BDH 5/30 Ø 80 mm Hygro-Adjustable Extraction Vent
Model: 11015123
Product Overview
The Aldes W16 BDH 5/30 is a hygro-adjustable single-flow extraction vent designed for sanitary rooms such as bathrooms and WCs. It ensures adequate and continuous extraction of indoor pollutants by automatically adjusting airflow based on the room's humidity level. This vent is suitable for technical rooms in individual houses and collective housing, both new and renovated, for flow rates below 50 m³/h.
Product Highlights
- Simplified maintenance due to a removable face
- Unique design without a grille
- Roll-in gasket for enhanced sealing
Operating Principles
In a hygro-adjustable VMC (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) system, the airflow is automatically regulated according to the humidity level in the rooms. The BDH vent is installed in sanitary spaces to manage this regulation.
Description
The BDH is a hygro-adjustable vent intended for technical rooms in individual houses and new or renovated collective housing. It is a compact hygro-adjustable vent designed for flow rates less than 50 m³/h.
Application Areas
- Residential collective housing
- Residential individual housing
- New construction
- Renovation
Installation Guidelines
- The BDH vent must be installed in humid or technical rooms like bathrooms, WCs, or utility rooms.
- Position the vent at the upper part of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a minimum height of 1.80 meters from the floor.
- Ensure the vent is accessible and removable. Maintain at least 20 cm clearance between the vent's center and adjacent walls, and avoid direct attachment to the duct.
- Optimal sealing between the vent and the connecting duct is crucial. This can be improved by using a sleeve. A metal sleeve is recommended for collective housing (stainless steel sleeve is mandatory for Gas VMC), while a plastic sleeve is suitable for individual houses.
- For versions with a Ø 125 mm duct, the vent connects directly via snap-fitting with an O-ring into a sleeve, RT Flex, or rigid/semi-rigid duct.
- For versions with a Ø 80 mm duct, it connects via snap-fitting into sleeves, rigid, or semi-rigid ducts.
- For ceiling-mounted or above-furniture installations requiring a cord, use a cord return guide (code 11015001).
- For electrically controlled hygro-adjustable vents, two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011) are required.
- Hygro-adjustable vents operate within a pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
- Extraction vents require maintenance and verification at least once a year. Connecting a mechanical hood to the VMC system is prohibited (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
- Before replacing an existing vent, measure the pressure and note the type of dwelling.
