Aldes BW53 BDH 11015179: Humidity-Controlled Extraction Vent
Model: BW53 BDH 10-40/30 - Ø 80 mm
Reference: 11015179
Color: White
Product Overview
The Aldes BDH is a single-flow humidity-controlled extraction vent designed for sanitary rooms such as bathrooms and WCs. It ensures sufficient and continuous extraction of indoor pollutants based on the room's humidity level, contributing to optimal indoor air quality in residential buildings.
Key Product Features
- Simplified maintenance thanks to its removable face
- Unique design without a grille
- Roll-in seal for enhanced airtightness
Principles of Operation & Description
In a humidity-controlled VMC (Mechanical Ventilation) system, airflow is automatically regulated according to the room's humidity level, responding to the building's actual ventilation needs. The BDH vent is installed in sanitary rooms.
The BDH is a humidity-controlled vent designed for technical rooms in individual homes and collective housing, for both new builds and renovations. It is a small-model humidity-controlled vent suitable for flow rates below 50m³/h.
Application Areas
- Collective residential housing
- Individual residential housing
- New builds
- Renovations
Installation Guidelines (Mise en oeuvre)
- BDH must be installed in humid or technical rooms: bathrooms, WCs, utility rooms.
- The vent should be positioned at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
- The vent must be accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the vent's center and adjacent walls or non-adhering to the duct.
- The seal between the vent and the connecting duct must be optimal. This is improved by using a sleeve. A metal sleeve is recommended for collective housing (stainless steel sleeve mandatory for Gas VMC), while a plastic sleeve can be used for individual homes.
- Versions with a 125 mm duct: the vent attaches directly (by push-fit with O-ring) into a sleeve, RT Flex, rigid or semi-rigid duct.
- Versions with an 80 mm duct attach by push-fit into sleeves, rigid or semi-rigid ducts.
- For electrically controlled humidity-controlled vents, ensure two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011) are provided.
- Humidity-controlled vents operate within the 80-160 Pa pressure range.
- Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. Connecting a mechanical hood to the VMC system is prohibited (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
- Before replacing an old vent with a new one, perform a pressure reading and note the type of housing concerned.
