First-Time Setup
1. Auto-Connect Earbuds
A. Remove the earbuds from the charging case and remove the decals. (Description: Two earbuds being removed from a case, with a callout pointing to decals to be removed.)
B. Press and hold for more than 3 seconds on each earbud. A blinking blue and white light on one earbud indicates it is ready to pair with your device. (Description: Two earbuds, each with a light blinking blue and white, with a callout "Press and hold for more than 3 seconds".)
2. Bluetooth Connection
Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's settings.

Adding New / Additional Bluetooth Devices
Turn OFF Bluetooth on any previously connected devices. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. Remove the earbuds from the case. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in the new device's settings to connect.
Controls
Left Touch Sensor:
- VOLUME DOWN: Press once
- SIRI (iOS) or "OK GOOGLE" (ANDROID): Press twice
- AWARENESS / ANC ON / ANC OFF: Press and hold for more than 1 second
- EQ CHANGE: Press three times
Right Touch Sensor:
- VOLUME UP: Press once
- PLAY/PAUSE: Press twice
- TRACK FORWARD: Press and hold for more than 1 second
- EQ CHANGE: Press three times
General Controls:
- ANSWER CALL: Press once on either left or right
- HANG UP CALL: Press twice on either left or right
- REJECT INCOMING CALL: Long press for more than 1 second on either left or right
MUSIC / MOVIE MODE: Press and hold both touch sensors simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.
TURN OFF WITHOUT CHARGING CASE: Turn off Bluetooth from your device's settings. The earbuds will then turn off after 3 minutes.
Audio Prompts
- POWER ON: Beep
- BLUETOOTH PAIRING: "Ready to Pair". Epic Air ANC is ready to pair with your Bluetooth device.
- AWARENESS ON/OFF: 1 beep/2 beeps
- ANC ON/OFF: Beep
- BLUETOOTH CONNECTED: 2 beeps. Earbud is connected to device.
- BATTERY FULL: "Battery Full" (100-80%)
- BATTERY MEDIUM: "Battery Medium" (80-20%)
- LOW BATTERY: "Battery Low" (Less than 20%. When power drops to 10%, "Low Battery" will play once)
- POWER OFF: Beep
Equalizer Modes
Press three times on one of the earbuds for different EQ settings. Audio prompts indicate EQ settings (Epic Air ANC cycles through 4 EQ settings). Customize each EQ setting by downloading the JLab Sound app in the Apple/Google Play Store.
- JLab SIGNATURE: JLab C3™ signature sound with enhanced voices and bass
- BALANCED: Balanced sound without any extra sound enhancements
- BASS BOOST: Enhanced bass and sub-bass
- PIP: Custom EQ setting (download JLab Sound app to customize)
Auto-Pairing/Powering
1. The earbuds turn OFF and begin charging when placed in the charging case. Blue lights indicate the earbuds are charging and turn off when fully charged. (Description: Two earbuds being placed into a charging case, with blue lights indicating charging.)

Charging
Wired Charging
Connect Epic Air ANC to a computer or USB power supply at 5V 1A (or less). LED lights blink white during charging and turn solid white when fully charged. (Description: Earbuds case connected via USB-C to a laptop and a wall adapter.)
Wireless Charging
Place the charging case on a wireless charging pad. LED lights blink white during charging and turn solid white when fully charged. (Description: Charging case being placed on a wireless charging pad.)
Fit
Try all ear tips for the best fit and proper seal.
Place in the ear canal and twist slightly to adjust for the best fit. (Description: Earbud being inserted into an ear, with a twist motion indicated.)
Find Your Earbuds
Download the Tile app and activate to find your earbuds. Learn more at intl.jlab.com/tileapp

Download the App

Troubleshooting
No Sound in One Earbud or Earbuds Are Disconnected (Manual Reset)
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. Fig. A (Description: Phone showing Bluetooth settings with JLab Epic Air ANC listed.)
- Place earbuds in charging case and quickly tap the touch sensor on ONE earbud 7 times. Light blinks blue 4 times. Fig. C (Description: Earbud in case with a finger tapping the sensor, callout "Quickly tap 7 times".)
- Repeat with the other earbud. Quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. Light blinks blue 4 times. Fig. C
- Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait until one earbud becomes solid white and the other blinks blue/white. You are now ready to pair them with your Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth Device Not Connecting/Reconnecting
- Go to your Bluetooth device settings and forget JLab Epic Air ANC. Fig. A

- Remove earbuds from case. Wait until one becomes solid white and the other blinks blue/white.
- Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in device settings to reconnect.

Quick Tips
- The left or right earbud can be used independently for music and phone calls. Simply select one and remove it from the case to connect.
- Only ONE Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on unwanted devices and turn on Bluetooth on the desired device to connect.
- Wipe the earbuds completely dry before placing them in the charging case to avoid any damage to the case.
Warnings
⚠️ Wipe the earbuds completely dry before placing them in the charging case. If the earbuds are damp or wet, this will damage the charging case. The warranty does not cover damage to the charging case due to water/sweat. (Description: Earbuds in case with a water droplet symbol and a warning icon.)
- ⚠️ Avoid extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
- ⚠️ Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
- Wax can build up on the earbud tips and degrade sound quality. Gently remove wax with a cotton swab or other small tool to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or refraining from using the earbuds for a while.
- If you frequently experience discomfort while using the product, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
- We recommend treating your earbuds the same way you would treat a pair of fine sunglasses and storing them in a safe place when not in use.
