First Time Setup

Automatic Pairing

A. Remove earbuds from the charging case and peel off any stickers.

B. Press and hold both earbuds for over 3 seconds. A flashing blue/white light on one earbud indicates it's ready to pair with your device.

Bluetooth Pairing

Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's Bluetooth settings. You will hear two beeps and see a solid white light when connected.

Adding New/Additional Bluetooth Devices

Turn off Bluetooth on previously connected devices. Turn on Bluetooth for the new device. Remove earbuds from the case; they will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in the new device's settings to connect.

Download the App

Personalize Epic Air ANC features and update firmware by downloading the JLab Air ANC app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Controls

Left Earbud Touch Sensor:

• Volume Down: Single tap
• Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant): Double tap
• Be Aware / ANC On/Off: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Change EQ: Triple tap

Right Earbud Touch Sensor:

• Volume Up: Single tap
• Play/Pause: Double tap
• Skip Track Forward: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Change EQ: Triple tap

Answering Calls: Single tap on either earbud.

Disconnect: Double tap on either earbud.

Reject Incoming Call: Double tap and hold on either earbud for over 1 second.

Audio Cues

• Power On: Gong
• Bluetooth Pairing: "Ready to pair."
• Be Aware Mode: 1 beep / 2 beeps
• ANC Mode: Gong
• Bluetooth Connected: 2 beeps
• Battery Status: "Battery charged" (100-80%), "Medium battery" (80-20%), "Low battery" (below 20%, with a single "Low battery" at 10%).
• Power Off: Gong

Music/Movie Mode: Press and hold both touch sensors for over 3 seconds.

Power Off Without Charging Case: Turn off Bluetooth on your device. The earbuds will power off automatically after 3 minutes.

EQ Modes

Triple tap one earbud to cycle through EQ settings. Audio cues will indicate the selected mode. The Epic Air ANC supports 4 EQ settings. Customize each EQ setting by downloading the JLab Air ANC App.

• JLab Signature: (One Beep) JLab's proprietary C3™ sound with amplified vocals and bass.
• Balanced: (Two Beeps) Even sound with no extra correction.
• Bass Boost: (Three Beeps) Amplified bass and sub-bass.
• Custom: (Audio Cue varies) Custom EQ settings available via the JLab Air ANC App.

Automatic Power On/Off

1. Placing earbuds in the charging case will power them OFF and begin charging. Blue indicator lights show charging status and turn off when fully charged.

2. When taken out of the charging case, they will auto power ON and connect.

Charging

Wired Charging

Connect the Epic Air ANC to a computer or USB 5V 1A (or less) output device. LEDs flash white during charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Wireless Charging

Place the charging case on a wireless charging pad. LEDs flash white during charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Fitment

Try all included ear tips to find the best fit and seal. Insert the earbud into your ear canal and twist slightly for optimal fit.

Troubleshooting

No Sound in One Earbud or Earbuds Not Connecting (Manual Reset)

1. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select "Forget JLab Epic Air ANC". (Reference: Diagram A)
2. Place earbuds in the charging case. On ONE earbud, quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The LED will flash blue 3 times. (Reference: Diagram C)
3. Repeat for the other earbud. Quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The LED will flash blue 3 times. (Reference: Diagram C)
4. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait for one earbud to turn solid white and the other to flash blue/white. You can now pair them with your Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting

1. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and select "Forget JLab Epic Air ANC". (Reference: Diagram A)
2. Turn Bluetooth OFF, then turn it ON. (Reference: Diagram B)
3. Remove earbuds from the case. Wait for one to turn solid white and the other to flash blue/white.
4. Select "JLab Epic Air ANC" in your device's settings to reconnect.

Tips

• You can use either the left or right earbud independently for music and phone calls. Simply take one out of the case to connect it.
• You can only connect ONE Bluetooth device at a time. Turn off Bluetooth on other devices and turn on Bluetooth for your desired device to connect.
• Completely dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage.

Warning

Dry the earbuds completely before placing them in the charging case. If they are damp or wet, it will cause damage to the charging case. The warranty will be void if the charging case shows damage from water or sweat.

Caution

• Avoid very high or very low temperatures and humidity.
• Do not drop or crush the earbuds.
• Earwax can build up in the ear tips and degrade sound quality. To improve sound quality, carefully remove earwax with a cotton swab or other small tool.
• If you experience discomfort or pain, try reducing the volume or taking a break from using the product.
• If you regularly experience discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
