- To access the Application List screen, tap on the Home screen of your device.

dphoto : A service for backing up photos or videos on your smartphone or PC to cloud “up to 5GB for free”. To use “Print service function”, by which you can create photo books using photos you have taken, separate subscription and installing the dphoto printing app are required.

Searching applications
Recommend applications or services according to your usage condition.

My Magazine is a safe, secure news application to view contents such as news or articles concerned, articles reflected with your own hobbies and tastes, valuable coupons, or cartoons suitable for killing time. It helps to set search words based on your tendency of articles to read or profile information to bring them closer to your preference. You can also customize application settings such as genres or notifications to show, your star sign, or region to show the weather.

Making a call
1 From the Home screen, [arrows][ (Easy phone)] The dial input screen is displayed. w When the call history appears, tap [ (Dial)]. w When you activate Easy phone for the first time, the screen to set Easy phone as a default phone app appears. You can use Easy phone by tapping [ (Set)]Select [ (Easy phone)][SET AS DEFAULT].

4INFORMATION w With VoLTE, you can make high-quality voice calls.
To use VoLTE, both parties must meet the following requirements. – Both terminals support VoLTE – Both parties are in a VoLTE service area – “Preferred network type”* in “Mobile network” is set to “5G/
4G/3G/GSM” or “4G/3G/GSM”. * To set, operate from the Home screen, [Settings]
[Network & internet][Mobile network][Preferred network type].
w With VoLTE (HD+), you can use voice call in higher sound
quality than VoLTE. To use VoLTE (HD+), it requires that both your terminal and the other party’s terminal support VoLTE (HD+) in addition to the conditions for use of VoLTE.
w If your face etc. comes close to the proximity sensor during a
call, the display goes out. It is redisplayed by moving away from the sensor.
w When the earphone is inserted into the terminal or while
calling with the speakerphone, the proximity sensor stops. Because of this, the display remains on even when the face etc. comes close to the sensor.
w If you put the ear to the earpiece over the hair, etc. the
proximity sensor does not work normally and the call may be interrupted.
w You can set to show/hide caller ID all at once in [Caller ID
notification] (P88).

w This terminal supports “Emergency call location
notification”. If you use the terminal to place a call to emergency numbers such as 110, 119, or 118, the information of a location where you are calling from (location information) is automatically notified to the Emergency call acceptance organization such as the Police Station. The Emergency call acceptance organization may not be able to figure out your exact location depending on the location where you place a call or radio wave condition. When location information is notified, name of Emergency call acceptance organization you are calling to will appear. If you dial by adding “184” in front of your number to hide your caller ID, your location information and phone number are not notified. However, if the agency you called considers your location information and phone number necessary for important purposes such as life saving, the agency can retrieve your accurate location information regardless of your mobile settings. Note that the areas/time for which the “Emergency call location information” is ready to be used vary depending on the preparatory state of each Emergency call acceptance organization.
w When you call the Police (110), Fire/Ambulance (119), or
Maritime rescue (118) from the terminal, clearly indicate that
you are calling from a mobile phone, then give your present
location and mobile phone number. Also, make a point to
call in a stationary position to prevent the call from being
dropped. Do not power off the terminal for at least 10
minutes after the emergency call just in case the Police or
Fire/Ambulance may have to get in contact with you.
w Alternatively, Power key (1 sec. or more)Tap [Emergency]
to make an emergency call.
w Note that you may not connect to the local Fire Department
or Police Station depending on where you are calling from.
w In Japan, if the nano SIM card is not inserted, emergency
calls 110, 119 and 118 cannot be made on the PIN code entry
screen, during PIN code lock/PUK lock or while updating
software.
w If you dial 110, 119, or 118 overseas, an emergency call
screen may appear but the call is normally sent.
w If you make an emergency call with Reject call settings
enabled, Reject call settings will be disabled.
w For some network operators, emergency calls via VoLTE
may not be available. In that case, set [4G Calling] (P136)
to OFF.
w Emergency call may not be available via some networks. w The terminal does not support an emergency call using
W-CDMA.

Showing/hiding call ID by each call
Set whether to notify your phone number to the other party’s terminal when making a call.
w Your caller ID is important personal information. So, take
care when notifying people of it.

Calling with additional code
You can enter the phone number and additional code at once when entering the code additionally during a call for bank balance inquiries, ticket reservation services, etc. Tap and hold “#” to enter “;” (wait), and tap and hold ” ” to enter “,” (2-sec pause).
w Wait “;” : When the phone number is dialed, the phone will
wait automatically and a confirmation message for sending additional code appears. When you tap [YES], the additional code is sent.
w 2-sec pause “,” : When the phone number is dialed, 2-second
pause will be automatically inserted and then additional code will be sent.

application is activated, the incoming call screen is displayed at the top of the screen. After you accept and end call, the previous screen is displayed. Tap a caller’s name or phone number on the incoming call screen, the incoming call screen (full-screen).
w When Phone memo is ON, up to 10 items can be saved. When
there is incoming call with 10 items already saved, it is recognized as a normal call reception and Phone memo does not activate. To activate Phone memo, delete unnecessary phone memo messages (P87) from the list of Phone memos.
w When you could not answer a call, a notification icon (P61)
appears on the status bar. Open the Notification panel ( P63) to check missed calls, dial or send SMS.
Answering call during operation
When a call is incoming while the Home screen is displayed or application is activated, the incoming call pop-up screen appears in the upper part of the screen.
w Tap a caller’s name or phone number in the incoming call
screen to display the incoming call screen (full-screen).
w After you answer and end the call, the previous screen
before the call reappear.

w Mark [Power button ends call] to enable to end a call by
pressing Power key. When the screen goes into sleep mode during a call, press Power key to cancel the sleep mode and then press Power key to end the call.
Phonebook
You can register phone numbers, email addresses, etc. to the phonebook. You can contact registered parties through simple operation.

w If you do not operate for approximately 2 minutes during
stand-by, the camera is exited and appears on the status bar.
w When you are approximately 10cm or more away from an
object, the camera automatically focuses on the object according to the set scene mode.
Cautions on shooting
w Although the camera is manufactured using extremely
high-precision technology, it may contain dots or lines that are always lit or do not light. When shooting under low light conditions, in particular, white lines or random color dots are likely to appear as noises. This is not a malfunction.
w When activating the camera, white stripes may appear on
the screen. This is not a malfunction.
w When the terminal is in high temperature state for a long
time, the camera may not be available. Wait until the terminal cools down to use again.
w When the battery is low, the camera may not be available.
Fully charge the terminal before using the camera.
w The captured images may be different from actual objects
for color and brightness.
w If you try to shoot an object in an environment with intense
light source like the sun etc., the images may be dark or noisy.
w Fingerprints or body oil on the lens can affect images. Wipe
with a soft cloth before shooting.
w The battery is consumed quickly when using the camera. w When the battery is low, lighting volume for flash may be
limited.
Copyrights and portrait rights Avoid reproducing, altering, or editing taken or recorded pictures or sounds using the terminal without the copyright holders authorization, because, except for personal use etc., they are prohibited by the Copyright law. Avoid using or altering pictures of others without their consent, because they may infringe on portrait rights. Note that taking photos or recordings at some demonstrations, performances or exhibitions may be prohibited even when only for personal use. Please be considerate of the privacy of individuals around you when taking and sending photos using cameraequipped mobile phones If you cause the public any trouble using the terminal, you may be punished under law or regulations (for example, Anti-Nuisance Ordinance).

Portrait shooting
Tap [mode] on the shooting screen to switch the shooting mode to [Portrait]. When the camera recognizes someone’s face, portrait can be shot with background bokeh.
w For out-camera, background bokeh can be applied to a
subject other than portraits. For in-camera, background bokeh can be applied only to portraits.

Live Auto Zoom shooting
When you tap or encircle a target object on the shooting screen, the camera zooms in the object and sets it in the center of the screen so that you can shoot a tracking video.

× (1920 1080) only and it cannot be changed.
w When shooting with the background which is similar color to
a target object, the camera may select a part of the background or tracking may drop out.
w When a target object is overlapped to the other object in
similar shape, tracking may drop out.
w If a part of background is selected or tracking is dropped out,
select the object again by tapping or circling it.

A white focus frame appears for the object and the object is zoomed in.

w Double-tap the shooting screen to cancel focus. w After the object is selected, you can zoom in/out by
pinching-in/out the screen.

Self-timer
Set it to ON ( ) to display ( for the in-camera) on the shooting screen. Set to shoot in 2 second/3 seconds/5 seconds after it is tapped. You can set self-timer for out-camera and in-camera individually.
w For in-camera, it is set to ON ( ) in advance.
HDR
Set to shoot 3 images in different exposure time to compose a still image whose white out or crushed black is corrected.
w When [HDR] is set to ON, the flash, Exposure/WB, Long
Press RapidPic, Image Stabilization, AI Scene Recognition, SuperNightShot Detection, and AI Auto Shot are not available. However, if setting it to Auto, AI Scene Recognition is available.
w If the scene to apply “Auto” HDR is detected when the HDR
setting is set to Auto, the icon to notify “Backlight/HDR AUTO” appears on the upper left of the shooting screen. You can set HDR shooting to OFF temporarily by tapping the icon.
AI Scene Recognition
Setting it to ON ( ) decides a scene mode automatically and then shoot. Auto-detected scene is displayed with the scene name such as “People”, “Night”, etc. To cancel scene recognition, tap at the side of scene name.
w When the flash is set to (Auto) and “Night” is detected,
the flash does not turn on. Tap the flash icon to (On) / (Light) to shoot using flash.
w When [AI Scene Recognition] is set to ON, Exposure/WB is
not available.
AI Scene Description When it is set to ON ( ), explanation appears when a scene is recognized.
SuperNightShot Detection SuperNightShot can be selected automatically when shooting in a dark place.
AI Auto shot Save recommended photos when shooting a still image.
AI Auto motion Save recommended motions when shooting a still image.
Image Stabilization Reduce camera shake when shooting still images. w When [Image Stabilization] is set to ON, Long Press RapidPic
is not available.

QR code/bar code reader
Scan QR code/bar code data on the still image shooting screen. By default, [QR Code® reader] of the camera is set to ON and [BarCode reader] is set to OFF.
w QR code/bar code cannot be scanned using ultra wide
camera or in-camera.
w Scan using the camera with the distance of approximately
10 cm or more from an object (QR code/bar code).
w QR code/bar code cannot be scanned for some versions
(type and size).
w Scratches, dirt, damages, low print quality and the strong
reflection of light may disable code reading.
w If the QR code/bar code is not scanned well, try to change the
distance between the QR code/bar code and camera, the angle or direction of camera.
w If either [QR Code® reader] or [BarCode reader] is set to ON,
up to 5 QR codes or bar codes can be scanned. In addition, if [QR Code® reader] and [BarCode reader] are set to ON at the same time, up to 5 QR codes/bar codes mixed in one shooting screen can be scanned.

Using “Osaifu-Keitai service”
Osaifu-Keitai
“Osaifu-Keitai service” is a function which allows you to make payment or to use as a point card just by holding the terminal over the IC card reader in stores etc. You can save electronic money and points to an IC card of the terminal. Also, you can check balance of electric money and point value on the screen. By locking Osaifu-Keitai functions, you can prevent the terminal from being used without your permission in case of theft or loss. For details on Osaifu-Keitai, refer to XXXXX website.
w A setting from the dedicated website or application is
required to use Osaifu-Keitai compatible services.
w Data in the IC card* may be lost or modified because of the
malfunction of the terminal (when we repair your terminal etc., as we cannot repair it with data remained, you are required to erase the data yourself). For more information about reissuing and restoring data, and support for saving and transferring data, contact the Osaifu-Keitai compatible service provider. For important data, be sure to use an Osaifu-Keitai compatible service with backup service.
w If the data in the IC card is lost, modified or damaged by

w Note that a part of Osaifu-Keitai services may not be available

Contactless payments
Enable or disable the setting of the service available by holding the terminal over the IC card reader, such as Osaifu-Keitai service.

Notes when holding over the other device
Pay attention to the following when holding the terminal over a card reader, NFC module equipped device, etc.

w Bring mark close to the device slowly, do not hit it
strongly.
w Hold mark over the center of the compatible device in
parallel. If scanning fails even with it held over the center of the scanner, slightly lift up the terminal, or move it backward/forward or to the left/right.
w If there are metal objects between mark and the other
device, scanning may fail. Putting the terminal into a case or cover may affect communication. In that case, remove the case or cover.

To listen to FM radio broadcast, connect the earphone (commercially available)* to the USB Type-C jack of the terminal as an antenna. * Use the cable with a length of 0.6 m to 1.5 m. For stable FM
broadcast reception, it is recommended you use the cable with a length of 1.0 m or longer. Use an analog Type-C earphone cable (commercially available) or analog Type-C earphone conversion adapter (commercially available). Digital method is not supported for FM broadcast.
