The Vortex Plus NACS to CCS adapter allows CCS1-enabled electric vehicles to use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) to access NACS DC fast chargers.

Charging time varies depending on the NACS DC fast charging station, electric vehicle specifications, environmental conditions, and battery temperature. The NACS to CCS Adapter includes built-in temperature monitoring. Charging power will decrease if the internal components of the adapter exceed 194°F. Operation will shut off if the surface temperature of the adapter reaches 140°F.

連接適配器
To initiate a session through your vehicle’s display or the app, first activate the charging session to unlock the station and then proceed to the steps below.
1. Press the NACS unlock button on the underside of the adapter and insert the NACS charger connector until it clicks into place. Ensure the latch is secure.
2. Plug the adapter into your vehicle’s CCS1 inlet. Verify that the latch is secure.

3. Once securely connected to the vehicle, the adapter’s interlock pin will engage, preventing removal of the charger connector until the session is complete.
4. Allow a brief pause for the vehicle and charger to establish communication. Check your vehicle’s display to confirm that charging has started.

DISCONNECTING THE ADAPTER
1. When charging is complete, press the CCS latch on top of the adapter and remove it from the vehicle.
2. Press the NACS unlock button on the underside of the adapter and disconnect the NACS charger connector.
3. Store the adapter in a dry, clean, and secure location to protect it from debris and damage.

If the vehicle fails to initiate charging, please consider the following steps: 1. Ensure the DC fast charger supports CCS1 vehicles. 2. Check for firm connections at both the NACS and CCS1 ends of the adapter. 3. Safely unplug following the user manual procedure, then begin the connection process again. 4.
