IHC-200 Plug and Play Humidity Controller

Safety Precautions

1. Overview

What is IHC-200?

The IHC-200 is an easy-to-use, safe, and reliable dual relay output humidity controller. Its plug-and-play design and dual LED screens offer a more user-friendly experience. The IHC-200 can control any 100-265 volt humidifier, dehumidifier, or fan.

3. Keys Instruction

The controller features several keys and indicator lamps. The main unit displays current and setting values, while indicator lamps show operational status.

Controller Diagram Description:

The controller unit has a display showing two values (PV and SV), a SET button, and UP/DOWN arrow buttons. It also has indicator lamps. The PV (Process Value) displays current humidity or menu code. The SV (Setting Value) displays setting humidity or setting value. The Humidification Indicator Lamp is ON when humidifying and OFF when stopped. The Dehumidification Indicator Lamp is ON when dehumidifying, OFF when stopped, and flickers during delay protection.

Socket Types:

The IHC-200 supports various socket types for connecting humidification and dehumidification devices, including US, EU, UK, and AU sockets.

Key Functions:

4. Key Operation Instruction

4.1 Power On/Off

To turn off the controller, press and hold "SET" and the UP/DOWN arrow keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. To turn on, press and hold "SET" and the UP/DOWN arrow keys simultaneously for 1 second.

4.2 Enquiry Differential Value

Short press the UP arrow key (⬆️) to display the humidification differential (HD). Short press the DOWN arrow key (⬇️) to display the dehumidification differential (DD). The display returns to normal after two seconds.

4.3 Enquiry Measuring Humidity

Press the UP (⬆️) and DOWN (⬇️) arrow keys simultaneously to display the current humidity on the PV screen. Release the keys after two seconds to return to the normal display mode.

4.4 How to Set Parameters

Press and hold the "SET" key for 3 seconds to enter parameter setting mode. The PV screen shows the first menu code "HS", and the SV screen shows the corresponding setting value. Press "SET" to cycle through menu codes. Use the UP (⬆️) and DOWN (⬇️) arrow keys to change the current parameter value. After finishing settings, press and hold "SET" for 3 seconds to save and return to normal display. If there is no operation for 10 seconds, the system will exit without saving.

4.5 Setup Flow Chart Description:

The setup process begins by pressing "SET" for over 3 seconds to enter parameter setup mode. Users can then set the Humidity Set Value (HS), Humidification Differential Value (HD), Dehumidification Differential Value (DD), Alarm High Humidity Set Value (AH), Alarm Low Humidity Set Value (AL), Delay Protection Value (PT), and Humidity Calibration (CA). Each parameter is set sequentially using the SET key to navigate and the UP/DOWN keys to adjust values. The process concludes with a "Working normally" state.

5. Menu Instruction

5.1 Humidity Control Range Setting (HS, HD, DD)

When the controller is working, the LED displays the current measured humidity. The controller automatically recognizes and translates between humidifying and dehumidifying modes.

Dehumidification: If measured humidity PV ≥ HS (Humidity Set Value) + DD (Dehumidification Differential Value), the dehumidification indicator lamp turns ON, and the dehumidification relay activates. If the indicator light flickers, the equipment is in delay protection. When measured humidity PV ≤ HS (Humidity Set Value), the dehumidification indicator lamp turns OFF, and the dehumidification relay stops working.

Humidification: If measured humidity PV ≤ HS (Humidity Set Value) – HD (Humidification Differential Value), the humidification indicator lamp turns ON, and the humidification relay activates. When measured humidity PV ≥ HS (Humidity Set Value), the humidification indicator lamp turns OFF, and the humidification relay stops working.

5.2 Alarm High/Low Limit Setting (AH, AL)

If the measured humidity PV ≥ AH (Alarm High Humidity Set Value) or PV ≤ AL (Alarm Low Humidity Set Value), an alarm sounds ("BI-BI-BIII"), and the current value, AH, or AL will display on the PV screen. The alarm can be silenced by pressing any key, but the alarm status will persist until the measured humidity returns to the normal range.

5.3 Compressor Delay (PT)

In dehumidification mode, after power on, if the measured humidity PV ≥ HS (Humidity Set Value) + DD (Dehumidification Differential Value), the equipment will not start dehumidification immediately but will wait for a preset delay time. If the time interval between two dehumidification operations (or from power on to dehumidify) is longer than the preset delay, dehumidification starts immediately. If it's shorter, dehumidification waits until the preset delay is satisfied. The delay time is calculated after dehumidification stops working.

5.4 Humidity Calibration (CA)

If there is a deviation between the measured and actual humidity, use the humidity calibration function to align them. The corrected humidity equals the humidity before calibration plus the corrected value (which can be positive, zero, or negative).

Menu Instruction Table:

6. Error Description

Sensor Fault Alarm: If the humidity sensor is short-circuited or open-looped, the controller enters sensor fault mode, canceling all actions. A buzzer will sound, and "ER" will display on the LED. The buzzer alarm can be dismissed by pressing any key. After the fault is resolved, the system returns to normal working mode.
