Models: EF-528/529, G-1000/1100, GS-1001

Important Information

General Precautions

  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
  • Do not fasten the band too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the band.
  • Use a dry soft cloth to clean the watch and band, or a soft cloth dampened with a water-based mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile solvents such as gasoline, thinner, spray cleaners, etc.
  • When not using the watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.

Battery

  • The battery in your new watch is installed at the factory and should be replaced as soon as you notice signs of low power (e.g., the backlight not illuminating, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.

Water Resistance

  • Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below for proper operation.
  • Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their bands. Be careful when cleaning these bands to avoid damaging the designs.
For watches with resin bands...
  • You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
  • Sweat or moisture on a resin band, or storage in high humidity conditions, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking of the band. To ensure a long life for your resin band, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and bands...
  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent coloring to gradually fade.
  • Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent coloring to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with other wet surfaces can cause discoloration of the fluorescent coloring. Ensure the fluorescent surface is kept dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Strong friction on a surface with fluorescent coloring against another surface can cause the fluorescent coloring to transfer to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch, and accepts no claims from third parties.
