Important Information

Battery

If the display becomes unclear or the backlight fails to illuminate, replace the battery at your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch is for initial testing purposes and may have a shorter service life than standard batteries.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified into levels (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Refer to the table below to determine the appropriate usage for your watch.

Water Resistance Ratings
Marking on CaseSplash, Rain, WashingUnderwater Swimming, SnorkelingScuba Diving
INoNoNo
II WATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
III 50M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
IV 100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
V 200M WATER RESISTANT 300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes

Notes for respective sections:

  • I: Watches are not water resistant. Avoid any contact with water.
  • III: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  • IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  • V: Watches can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).

ATTENTION!!! For all watch categories, the following are prohibited:

  • Pressing buttons underwater
  • Changing the time underwater
  • Turning the crown underwater

IMPORTANT!!!

Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may become immersed in water.

Watch Care

  • Replace rubber gaskets protecting the watch from water and dust every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked by a CASIO dealer or distributor immediately.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures (very high or very low).
  • While watches are designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and drops.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • Clean the watch and strap with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
  • When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, cases, and watch finishes.
  • Some models have silk-screened designs on the strap. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.

For watches with polymer straps...

  • A white powdery substance may appear on the strap. This substance is harmless to skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
  • Exposure of the polymer strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure long strap life, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture frequently with a soft cloth.

For watches with fluorescent cases and bands...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
  • Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with a moist surface may cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may cause the fluorescent paint to transfer.
