Battery
The battery installed in your watch is a factory-installed battery. It should be replaced immediately if you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V). Please refer to the table below to understand the rating of your watch for proper operation.
Rating | Marking on Case | Splashes, Rain, Washing | Swimming, Washing Car | Diving, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | Yes | No | No | No | |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for relevant sections:
- Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid contact with any moisture.
- Do not pull out the crown while the watch is wet.
- Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
- If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Note: Some water-resistant watches may have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in activities where the strap may get wet.
Watch Care
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The rubber gasket, which protects the watch from water and dust, should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances (e.g., benzine, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with benzine, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets and the watch's finish.
- Some models have silk-screened graphics on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For watches with plastic straps:
- You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin and clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure of a plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps:
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong rubbing of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may cause the fluorescent paint to transfer to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of these watches, nor does it accept claims from third parties.
