Tips for Avoiding Leakage and Maximizing Milk Output
- Lean forward to center the nipple in the breast flange tunnel. Ensure the breast pump fits snugly against the breast.
- Use a full-coverage nursing bra to create a tight seal between the breast and breast flange.
- Ensure the pump is assembled correctly.
- Pump while sitting or standing, not lying down.
Washing and Sterilizing
Non-Washable Parts:
- Pump motor
Washable Parts:
- Milk collector
- Breast flange
- Membrane
- Connector
- Valve
Clean washable parts with soapy water (40-60°C / 104-140°F) for 3-5 minutes. Sterilize using boiling water, steam, or a sterilizing unit at temperatures up to 100°C (212°F) for 5-10 minutes.
Microwave sterilization is not recommended as it may shorten accessory lifespan.
Additional Tips
- Washable parts have an expected lifespan of 1-3 months. Replace them after long-term storage or before use with a new child.
- The breast pump automatically shuts off after 30 minutes. Discontinue use if irritation or discomfort occurs and consult a healthcare professional.
