How to Avoid Milk Leaks and Pumping Tips for More Breast Milk
- Lean forward to ensure your nipple is centered in the breast shield tunnel. The breast pump should fit snugly against your breast.
- We recommend users wear a nursing bra with full coverage to create a tight seal between the breast and the breast shield.
- Ensure the pump is assembled correctly.
- Pumping should be done while sitting or standing, not lying down.
Washing and Sterilization
Parts that can be washed:
- Milk Collector
- Breast Shield
- Membrane
- Flange Connector
- Valve
Parts that cannot be washed:
- Pump Motor
Washing Instructions:
We recommend using soapy water (40-60 °C) to clean washable parts for 3-5 minutes.
Sterilization Instructions:
Use boiling water, steam, or a sterilizer with a temperature not exceeding 100 °C (212 °F). Boil and sterilize parts for 5-10 minutes.
Note: It is not recommended to sterilize the breast pump in a microwave, as this will shorten the lifespan of the accessories.
Tips
- The expected lifespan of washable parts is 1-3 months. It is recommended to replace washable parts after long-term storage or before using the pump for your next child.
- The breast pump automatically shuts off after 30 minutes of pumping. Discontinue use if irritation or discomfort occurs and seek help from a healthcare professional.
