Principle of Operation

In a hygro-adjustable VMC system, airflow is automatically regulated based on room humidity levels, adapting to the building's ventilation needs. The BDH vent is installed in the kitchen.

The BDH is a hygro-adjustable vent for kitchens in individual houses and new or renovated collective housing. It is the large model hygro-adjustable vent with a 50 m³/h capacity.

Installation

• The BDH must be installed in the kitchen.
• The vent should be positioned in the upper part of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters from the floor.
• The vent must be accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the center of the vent and adjacent walls or non-collared ducts.
• The sealing of the vent-to-duct connection must be optimal. This is improved by using a sleeve. A metal sleeve is required for collective housing (stainless steel sleeve mandatory for Gas VMC). A plastic sleeve can be used for individual houses.
• The vent attaches directly (via push-fit with O-ring) to: sleeves, RT Flex, rigid or semi-rigid ducts.
• For versions without a collar: fixed by clip onto a Ø 125 mm collar (Roll-In joint), Ø 116 mm (Roll-In joint), or Ø 100 mm (foam joint).
• To prevent hygro-adjustable kitchen vents from rotating during peak flow usage, it is recommended to fix them with two Ø 3.5 x 35 mm screws and two Ø 6 x 35 mm anchors.
• For ceiling-mounted vents or vents above furniture, use a cord return (code 11015001).
• NOTE: For electrically controlled hygro-adjustable vents, a battery pack (two AA/LR06 batteries) and a standard push button (code 11026011) are required.
• Hygro-adjustable vents operate within a pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
• Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is forbidden to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC system (Article 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
• Before replacing an old vent with a new one, perform a pressure reading and note the type of dwelling concerned.
