This is a hygro-adjustable air vent designed for the tertiary market. It ensures sufficient and permanent extraction of indoor pollutants based on the room's humidity level.

Operating Principles

In a hygro-adjustable VMC (Mechanical Ventilation) system, the airflow is automatically regulated according to the humidity level in the rooms, thus responding to the building's actual ventilation needs.

The BDH Tertiaire air vents are hygro-adjustable and automatically regulate airflow based on the humidity level in tertiary rooms.

Implementation

• BDH Tertiaire must be installed in humid or technical rooms: bathrooms, WCs, cellars.
• The air vent should be positioned at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
• The air vent must be accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the center of the vent and adjacent walls, and not directly attached to the duct. The airtightness of the connection between the vent and the connecting duct must be optimal.
• This condition is improved by using a collar. A metal collar will be used for collective housing (stainless steel collar mandatory for Gas VMC). A plastic collar can be used for individual houses.
• For versions with a Ø 125 mm duct: the vent attaches directly (via push-fit with O-ring) into: a collar, RT Flex, rigid or semi-rigid duct.
• For versions with a Ø 80 mm duct: attaches via push-fit into: collars, rigid or semi-rigid ducts.
• For versions without a duct: fixed by clip onto a Ø 125 mm duct (Roll-In seal), Ø 116 mm (Roll-In seal), or Ø 100 mm (foam seal).
• For ceiling-mounted vents or vents above furniture, use a cord return (code 11015001).
• NOTE: For hygro-adjustable vents with electrical control, provide two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011).
• Hygro-adjustable vents operate within the pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
• Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is prohibited to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC network (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
• Before replacing an old vent with a new one, perform a pressure reading and note the type of dwelling concerned.
