First-Time Setup: Pairing via Bluetooth
Follow these steps to pair your JLab BT earbuds with your device:
- ?Enable Bluetooth on your device.
- ?Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will flash red and blue, indicating it has entered pairing mode.
- ?Select 'JLab BT' in your device's Bluetooth settings for connection. The indicator light will slowly flash blue when successfully paired via Bluetooth.
Button Functions
Control your audio and calls with the integrated buttons:
- Volume Up: Single tap. Next Track: Press and hold for over two seconds.
- Play/Pause/Answer Call: Single tap. End Call: Single tap. Use Siri (iOS) or OK Google (Android): Double tap.
- Volume Down: Single tap. Previous Track: Press and hold for over two seconds.
Audio Modes
Quickly press the buttons to cycle through different audio modes. JLab BT cycles through 3 different audio modes, indicated by beeps:
- JLab Signature: Balanced sound with no extra sound enhancements (one beep).
- Bass Boost: Enhanced bass and booming sound (two beeps).
- Balanced: Standard sound (three beeps).
Charging
- ?Open the USB port cover to connect the cable to a computer or a power source with a USB port. Ensure you use a standard 5-volt or lower charger.
- The indicator light turns solid red (?) while charging and solid blue (?) when charging is complete.
Fitting
Achieve the best comfort and sound quality with proper fitting:
- First, attach the outer housing and then the ear tip. Try different ear tips and housings to achieve the best fit.
- Rotate the outer housing to achieve the desired position.
Note: Fit may vary by ear shape and size.
Re-use
Once the initial pairing is complete for your JLab BT earbuds, they will automatically connect to your Bluetooth device when powered on again. Follow button functions instructions.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
I cannot see the JLab BT on my device.
- Turn off Bluetooth ? on your device, then turn it back on from the device settings ?.
- If you still cannot see the JLab BT, repeat the first-time pairing steps: Bluetooth Pairing Instructions.
The JLab BT will not reconnect to my device after powering on.
- Delete JLab BT from your device's settings (e.g., "Forget Device").
- Turn off Bluetooth ?, then turn it back on from your device's settings ?.
- Repeat the first-time pairing steps: Bluetooth Pairing Instructions.
Connecting to an unwanted device.
Note: The JLab BT can save up to 8 devices. It will attempt to automatically connect to the last device used.
- If you have previously connected to more than one device with your JLab BT earbuds, turn off Bluetooth ? on the unwanted devices. Then, turn on Bluetooth ? on the desired device.
- To re-initiate pairing, press and hold the power button ? for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will flash red and blue, indicating it has entered pairing mode. Select 'JLab BT' in your device's Bluetooth settings to connect. The indicator light will slowly flash blue when successfully paired via Bluetooth.
Warnings and Tips
- ⚠️Before charging, ensure the JLab BT earbuds are completely dry. Exposure of the earbuds to any moisture can damage internal components. It is best to dry them using air before charging.
- Ensure the USB port cover is closed and secured. This protects it from damage by sweat and water.
- Avoid getting any moisture or liquids into the earbud or charging port.
- Avoid exposing the earbuds to extreme heat or cold, or high humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds, or straining the wire by pulling sharply or bending it at sharp angles.
- Earwax may accumulate on the earbud tips, which can reduce sound quality. Carefully remove earwax using a cotton swab or other fine tools to improve sound quality.
- If you experience any pain, try lowering the volume or discontinuing use of the earbuds for a short period.
- If you continue to experience pain while using this product, discontinue use and consult a medical professional.
- We recommend treating your earbuds like your glasses; keep them in a safe place when not in use.
