Primary Configuration: Bluetooth Connection
- Step 1: Activate Bluetooth from your device's settings.
- Step 2: Press and hold the button on the earbuds for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will begin flashing red and blue, signifying pairing mode.
- Step 3: On your device, select 'JLab BT' from the list of available Bluetooth devices to establish the connection. Once connected, the indicator light will flash slowly in blue.
Recurring Use
Once the initial connection is complete, the JLab BT earbuds will automatically connect to the Bluetooth device each time they are turned on. (Follow instructions on BUTTON FUNCTIONS).
Button Functions
- Volume +: Press once
- Next Track: Press and hold for 2 seconds
- Power On: Press and hold for 3 seconds
- Power Off: Press and hold for 5 seconds
- Play/Pause/Answer/Hang Up: Press once
- Activate Siri (iOS) or 'OK Google' (Android): Press twice
- Bluetooth Connection: Follow the initial configuration procedure for Bluetooth connection.
- Volume -: Press once
- Previous Track: Press and hold for 2 seconds
Equalizer Modes
Quickly press both buttons simultaneously to cycle through different EQ settings. The earbuds will provide auditory cues:
- JLab Signature (One Beep): Audio with amplified vocals and bass.
- Balanced (Two Beeps): Uniform audio without additional enhancements.
- Bass Boost (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and deep bass.
Voice Notifications
- Power On: Acoustic signal.
- Bluetooth Connected: Two beeps.
- Low Battery: Voice prompt 'Low battery' (when below 20%).
- Power Off: Acoustic signal.
Charging
- Open the USB port cover on the earbuds. Connect the USB cable to the earbuds and to a computer or USB power source for charging. Ensure the charging power source does not exceed 5V.
- The indicator light is red during charging and turns blue when the battery is fully charged.
How to Wear
- First, apply the Cush Fins, followed by the gel ear tips. Important: Styles and options may vary.
- Rotate the Cush Fins into the desired position for a secure fit.
- Experiment with different ear tips and Cush Fins to find the most comfortable and secure fit for your ear.
How to Use the Clothing Clip
- Insert the [Clothing Clip] near the center of the earbud cable.
- Attach the clip to your shirt collar, on the front or back.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Device Does Not Detect JLab BT Earbuds
- Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON again within your device's settings.
- If the device still does not detect the JLab BT earbuds, repeat the initial Bluetooth connection procedure.
JLab BT Earbuds Do Not Automatically Connect to Device After Powering On
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and 'forget' or remove the JLab BT earbuds.
- Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON again on your device.
- Repeat the initial Bluetooth connection procedure.
Bluetooth Connects to an Unwanted Device
Important: JLab BT earbuds can remember up to 8 devices. Upon powering on, they will attempt to automatically connect to the last used device.
- If more than one device has been connected, turn OFF Bluetooth on the unwanted devices and turn it ON on the devices you wish to connect.
- Press and hold the button on the earbuds for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will flash red and blue, indicating pairing mode. Select 'JLab BT' in the settings of the device you want to connect to. Once connected, the light flashes slowly in blue.
Attention
Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed to prevent damage from contact with water or sweat. Before charging, ensure the JLab BT earbuds are completely dry. Exposure to moisture could damage internal components. It is recommended to air dry the earbuds before charging.
Precautions
- Avoid moisture or liquids entering the ear tips or charging port cover.
- Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Do not drop or crush the earbuds. Avoid bending the cable or subjecting it to excessive stress, such as pulling quickly or with too much force.
- Any earwax buildup in the ear tips may compromise sound quality. Carefully remove with a cotton swab or a similarly sized tool to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, lower the volume or temporarily discontinue use of the earbuds.
- If constant discomfort occurs during product use, discontinue use and consult your physician.
- It is recommended to handle the earbuds with care and store them in a safe place when not in use.
