First Time Pairing: Bluetooth Setup

Step 1: Enable Bluetooth

On your device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and turn it on.

Step 2: Enter Pairing Mode

Press and hold the multi-function button on the JLab BT earbuds for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will flash red and blue, signaling that the earbuds are in pairing mode.

Step 3: Connect to JLab BT

In your device's Bluetooth settings, select "JLab BT" to connect. The indicator light on the earbuds will slowly flash blue when successfully paired.

Automatic Reconnection

Once paired, your JLab BT earbuds will automatically connect to your device when powered on. Follow the instructions in the "Button Functions" section for powering on.

Audio Alerts

The earbuds provide audio cues for various states:

• Power On: Chime
• Bluetooth Connected: Two beeps
• Low Battery: Voice prompt (less than 20% battery)
• Power Off: Chime

EQ Modes

Quickly press both buttons simultaneously to cycle through different Equalizer (EQ) settings. The JLab earbuds will switch between three EQ modes:

• JLab Signature (1 Beep): Features the signature JLab C3™ sound with enhanced highs and boosted bass.
• Balanced (2 Beeps): Provides balanced audio without sound enhancements.
• Bass Boost: Offers amplified bass and sub-bass frequencies.

Button Functions

Control your audio and calls with these button actions:

• Volume Up: Single press the right button.
• Next Track: Press and hold the right button for 2 seconds.
• Power On: Press and hold the multi-function button (on either earbud) for 3 seconds.
• Power Off: Press and hold the multi-function button (on either earbud) for 5 seconds.
• Answer/End Call: Single press the multi-function button.
• Activate Voice Assistant (SIRI for iOS / OK Google for Android): Double press the multi-function button.
• Volume Down: Single press the left button.
• Previous Track: Press and hold the left button for 2 seconds.
• Bluetooth Pairing: Refer to the "First Time Pairing" section.

Charging Your Earbuds

Step 1: Connect to Power

Open the USB cover on the earbuds. Connect the provided USB cable to the USB port and then to a computer or USB power source. Ensure your power source is rated at 5V or less.

Step 2: Charging Indicator

The indicator light will show a solid red light while charging. It will turn solid blue when the earbuds are fully charged.

Achieving the Best Fit

For optimal sound and comfort, ensure a proper fit:

Step 1: Attach Adapter and Ear Tip

First, attach the appropriate adapter to the earbud, then attach the ear tip to the adapter. Note that styles and options for adapters and ear tips may vary.

Step 2: Find Your Fit

Experiment with different ear tip sizes and adapter combinations to find the most secure and comfortable fit for your ears.

Using the Cable Clip

Step 1: Attach Clip

Secure the included cable clip to the center of the earbud cable.

Step 2: Clip to Clothing

Clip the cable to the front or back of your shirt collar for a secure fit during wear.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Issue: Cannot find JLab BT on my device

Step 1: Toggle Bluetooth

Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and turn Bluetooth off, then turn it back on.

Step 2: Re-attempt Pairing

If the JLab BT is still not visible, repeat the steps outlined in the "First Time Pairing: Bluetooth Setup" section.

Issue: JLab BT not connecting to my device upon startup

Step 1: Forget Device

In your device's Bluetooth settings, find "JLab BT" and select the option to "Forget" or "Remove" the device.

Step 2: Re-enable Bluetooth

Turn your device's Bluetooth off and then back on.

Step 3: Re-pair Connection

Reconnect the JLab BT by following the "First Time Pairing" instructions.

Troubleshooting: Connecting to an Unwanted Device

Note: The JLab BT can remember up to 8 paired devices. It will attempt to automatically connect to the last device it was paired with.

Step 1: Disconnect Unwanted Devices

If your JLab BT is connecting to an unintended device, turn off Bluetooth on those unwanted devices. Then, turn on Bluetooth on the device you wish to connect to.

Step 2: Re-enter Pairing Mode

Press and hold the multi-function button for 10 seconds. Release. The indicator light will flash red and blue to signal pairing mode. The light will then flash blue slowly when connected.

Important Warnings & Care

Moisture Protection: Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed and sealed to protect the earbuds from sweat and water damage.

Drying: Before charging, always ensure the JLab BT earbuds are completely dry. Exposure to moisture can damage internal components. Air drying the earbuds before charging is the recommended method.

General Care:

• Prevent moisture or liquids from entering the earbud tips or charging port.
• Avoid exposure to extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
• Do not drop, crush, pull the cable forcefully, or bend the cable sharply over edges.
• Earwax buildup on earbud tips can reduce sound quality. Gently clean with a cotton swab or small brush.
• If you experience discomfort or pain, lower the volume or temporarily stop using the earbuds. If discomfort persists, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
• Treat your earbuds with care, similar to expensive sunglasses, and store them safely when not in use.
