Installation Instructions

Safety First: READ PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION. ALWAYS TURN OFF MAIN POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION. INSTALLATION SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT BY YOUR LOCAL ELECTRICIAN.

WARNINGS:

• Risk of fire or electric shock. LED Kit installation requires knowledge of electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
• Install only in luminaires with compatible construction features and dimensions. Ensure the retrofit kit's input rating does not exceed the luminaire's input rating.
• Prevent wiring damage or abrasion by avoiding exposure to sharp metal edges.
• This equipment is intended for installation by qualified personnel only. Installation must comply with the National Electric Code and all applicable state and local building codes. Final installation requires approval by an electrical/building inspector. Improper installation may result in fire or electrical hazards. Ensure electrical power to the circuit is disconnected before proceeding.

Installation Steps:

1. Preparation: Carefully unpack the unit and inspect for defects. Wear work gloves to prevent dirt and oil transfer to the luminaire. For cleaning, use gloves and a dry cotton cloth; avoid hazardous chemicals.
2. Ceiling Marking: Mark the ceiling for fixture placement referencing the provided diagram. Key hole spacing dimensions are 95mm [3 3/4], 155mm [6 1/8], and 212mm [8 3/8].
3. Drilling and Mounting Plate: Drill eight holes using a 1/2 inch [13mm] drill bit. Prepare toggle bolts by removing their wings. Insert a screw through the front of the mounting plate, reattach the wing to the screw, and repeat for all eight toggle bolts.
4. Wire Pulling: Pull the electrical wires from the ceiling.
5. Wiring: Use the orange cap to connect the ceiling wire with the lamp wire. Identify wiring: black for line voltage (L), white for neutral (N), and green for ground (E). Ensure main power is OFF at the circuit breaker.
6. Fixture Mounting: Raise the fixture until it is flush with the ceiling. Lock the fixture by moving it towards the opposite direction it was raised.

Selecting Main Light or Night Light Mode

Main Light: The factory setting is the main light. The fixture will default to the main light when turned on each day.

Night Light: To activate the night light, turn off the main light and then turn it back on again within 2 seconds.

Notes:

• If the light is turned off for more than 2 seconds before being turned on again, it will always default to the main light.
• To switch to the night light, ensure the power cycle (off then on) occurs within 2 seconds after the main light was last turned off. Otherwise, the light will remain in main light mode.
