This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA BJÖRKSNÄS chest of 5 drawers.

Assembly Instructions

Preparation & Tools

Before starting, gather the necessary tools: ? Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead). Assemble on a soft surface like a rug or mat to prevent damage.

Important Warnings: ⚠️ [Do not use power tools] ❌ [Ensure correct assembly].

Chest Carcass Assembly

Step 1: Lay out two large side panels on a protective surface. Insert 4x wooden dowels (101345) into the pre-drilled holes of one side panel.

Step 2: Attach the base panel to the side panel. Insert 4x cam bolts (191314) into the base panel and secure them by tightening 4x cam locks (110630) in the side panel.

Step 4: Attach the second large side panel to the base panel using 4x cam bolts (191314) and securing them with 4x cam locks (110630).

Step 5: Slide one chest back panel into the grooves of the assembled side and base panels.

Step 6: Attach the top panel to the side panels. Insert 4x cam bolts (191314) into the top panel and secure them by tightening 4x cam locks (110630) in the side panels.

Step 7: Insert the second chest back panel into the grooves of the chest frame.

Step 8: Attach drawer runners to the inside of the chest frame. Insert the metal rod components (8x) into the designated slots on the side panels.

Step 12: Attach side panels to a base panel using cam bolts and cam locks.

Step 13: Insert back panels into grooves.

Step 14: Attach side panels to a base panel using cam bolts and cam locks.

Step 15: Insert a back panel into grooves.

Step 16: Attach a top panel using cam bolts and cam locks.

Step 17: Insert the assembled back panel into the frame.

Step 18: Attach drawer runners to the inside of the chest frame. Insert the metal rod components (8x) into the designated slots on the side panels.

Drawer Assembly & Handle Attachment

Step 3: Assemble drawer components. Connect drawer sides and back to a drawer front. Insert 1x drawer front with handle and 1x drawer front without handle.

Step 9: Attach a drawer handle (191314) to a drawer front using 1x screw (108444).

Step 10: Attach a drawer handle (191314) to a drawer front using 1x screw (100404).

Step 11: Assemble 3 more drawers. (Total 5 drawers for the chest).

Step 19: Attach drawer handles to drawer fronts using screws.

Step 20: Attach drawer handles to drawer fronts using screws.

Final Assembly

Step 21: Insert the assembled drawers into the chest. The BJÖRKSNÄS chest of 5 drawers is now complete.

⚠️ Final Warning: Do not place heavy objects on top of the chest.
