Important Safety Information

WARNING

Children have died from furniture tipover. To reduce the risk of furniture tipover:

  • NEVER allow children to stand, climb, or hang on any drawers, doors, or shelves.
  • NEVER open more than one drawer at a time.
  • DO NOT defeat or remove the drawer interlock system; it is an important stability and safety system.
  • Place heaviest items in the lowest drawers.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Prepare Components

Gather all necessary hardware for the initial assembly. This includes screws, dowels, cam locks, and brackets.

  • 28x Dowel (101345)
  • 48x Cam lock (146114)
  • 8x Screw (105811)
  • 2x Bracket (102553)
  • 1x Long metal bar

Step 2: Attach Drawer Slides

Connect the drawer slides (IKEA CL and IKEA CR) to the side panels using screws and dowels.

  • 32x Dowel (145718)
  • 64x Cam lock (101345)
  • 48x Screw (192800)
  • 8x Knob (10095978/10096248)

Step 3: Assemble Base Frame

Connect the base frame components using screws and cam locks.

  • 12x Screw (146114)
  • 24x Screw (10108520)

Step 4: Connect Base Panels

Join the base panels together using screws and cam locks.

  • 12x Screw (146114)

Step 5: Attach Drawer Slide Components

Secure drawer slide components to the frame using screws.

  • 8x Screw (118331)

Step 6: Insert Dowels

Insert wooden dowels into the pre-drilled holes on the side panels.

Step 7: Attach Drawer Slide Hardware

Attach cam lock parts to the wooden panels using screws.

Step 8: Attach Top Panel

Secure the top panel to the assembled frame using screws.

Step 9: Insert Back Panel

Slide the large back panel into the grooves of the assembled frame.

Step 10: Attach Drawer Slide Mechanisms

Attach drawer slide mechanisms using screws and cam locks.

Step 11: Position Top Panel

Attach drawer runners to the frame using screws.

Step 16: Insert Dowels for Runners

Insert wooden dowels into the frame for attaching runners.

Step 17: Attach Drawer Slide Mechanisms

Attach drawer slide mechanisms using cam locks and screws.

Step 18: Position Top Panel

Step 25: Attach Drawer Runners

Step 26: Insert Dowels

Insert wooden dowels into the frame.

Step 27: Attach Drawer Slide Mechanisms

Step 28: Flip Unit

Step 35: Attach Drawer Runners

Attach drawer runners to the frame using screws.

Step 36: Attach Drawer Runners

Attach drawer runners using cam locks and screws.

Step 37: Unit Frame

The main frame of the chest of drawers is shown.

Step 38: Wall Mounting Anti-Tip Device

Instructions for attaching the anti-tip device to the wall. Use appropriate method based on wall type: Solid wall (A), Hollow wall (B), or Solid wood (C). Ensure correct drill bit size (Ø 8 mm or Ø 3 mm) and screw length (approx. 70 mm or 30 mm) are used. If uncertain, seek professional advice.

Step 39: Attach Anti-Tip Bracket to Furniture

Attach the anti-tip bracket to the furniture using screws.

Secure the anti-tip bracket to the furniture using screws.

Step 41: Assemble Drawers

Assemble the drawer boxes using screws. Different drawer configurations (1x, 3x, 4x) are shown.

Attach drawer runners to the assembled drawer boxes using screws.

Step 43: Assemble Drawer Sides

Connect drawer side panels to the base panel using screws.

Attach drawer side panels to the base using cam lock components.

Step 45: Insert Drawer Back Panel

Slide the back panel into the grooves of the drawer box.

Step 46: Attach Drawer Top Panel

Place and secure the top panel onto the drawer box using screws.

Step 51: Insert Drawers

Insert the assembled drawers into the chest. Includes a warning ⚠️ against incorrect stacking of drawers.

Step 52: Final Assembly and Drawer Check

The completed chest of drawers is shown with drawers inserted. Instructions also show attaching final drawer runners to the main unit.
