Product Description

The Aldes BDH is a simple-flow, hygro-regulated extraction vent designed for technical rooms in individual homes and collective housing, both new and renovated. It is a compact hygro-regulated vent suitable for flow rates below 50 m³/h. It ensures sufficient and permanent extraction of indoor pollutants based on the room's humidity level.

How it Works

In a hygro-regulated VMC system, airflow is automatically adjusted according to the humidity level in rooms, responding to the building's actual ventilation needs. The BDH vent is installed in sanitary spaces like bathrooms and WCs.

Installation Guidelines

• Install the BDH vent in humid or technical rooms such as bathrooms, WCs, or utility rooms.
• Position the vent high on a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a minimum height of 1.80 meters from the floor.
• Ensure the vent is accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the vent's center and adjacent walls or non-flush conduits.
• Optimal connection tightness between the vent and the connecting duct is crucial. This is enhanced by using a cuff. A metal cuff is recommended for collective housing (stainless steel cuff is mandatory for Gas VMC systems), while a plastic cuff can be used for individual homes.
• For versions with a 125 mm spigot: the vent directly attaches (via push-fit with O-ring) into a cuff, RT Flex, or rigid/semi-rigid duct.
• For versions with an 80 mm spigot: it attaches via push-fit into cuffs, rigid, or semi-rigid ducts.
• For ceiling installations or installations above furniture, use a cord return (reference 11015001).
• Note: For hygro-regulated vents with electric control, two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (reference 11026011) are required.
• Hygro-regulated vents operate within a pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
• Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. It is prohibited to connect a mechanical hood to the VMC network (Article 14 - Decree of March 24, 1982).
• Before replacing an old vent with a new one, conduct a pressure measurement and record the type of dwelling.
