Using Your Earphones
Download the Shokz App
Download the Shokz app to access features like multipoint pairing, firmware upgrades, and EQ mode adjustments for a more convenient earphone setup.

Earphone Button Description

Powering On/Off
To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Volume+ button until the LED indicator flashes blue. You will hear a voice prompt: "Hello, this is Shokz."
To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Volume+ button until the LED indicator flashes red. You will hear a voice prompt: "Powering off."
Pairing
- Ensure the OpenRun Pro Mini is powered off.
- Press and hold the Volume+ button until the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
- On your device's Bluetooth list, select "OpenRun Pro by Shokz". You will hear a voice prompt: "Connected."
Wearing Your Earphones
Diagram illustrates wearing the earphones:
Place the earphones behind your neck and hook the ear hooks over your ears.
Note: Improper wearing may cause discomfort. Ensure the transducer is positioned in front of your ear, not inside. Use both hands when putting on or taking off the earphones.
Adjusting Volume
You can adjust the volume while audio is playing.
Volume Adjustment Method: Press the Volume+ or Volume- buttons to adjust the earphone volume.
A beep will sound when the volume reaches its maximum level. Listening at high volumes for extended periods may cause hearing damage.
Multifunction Button
Diagram shows the multifunction button.
- Music Play/Pause: Single click.
- Next Track: Double click while music is playing.
- Previous Track: Triple click while music is playing.
- Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold for 2 seconds.
- Answer Call: Single click.
- End Call: Single click.
- Reject Call: Press and hold for 2 seconds.
Checking Battery Status
You can check the battery status when audio is not playing.
Battery Status Check Method: Press the Volume+ or Volume- buttons when music playback is stopped. The earphones will announce the battery status:
- "Battery High" - Battery is 75% or more.
- "Battery Medium" - Battery is 50% or more.
- "Battery Low" or "Charge Me" - Battery is 25% or less.
Additional Features
EQ Modes
The earphones offer different EQ modes:
- Standard Mode: Provides a stable soundstage, optimized for general music listening.
- Vocal Mode: Features enhanced mid-frequencies, optimized for listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and human voices.
Changing EQ Modes
You can change EQ modes while audio is playing.
EQ Mode Change Method: Press and hold both the Power/Volume+ button and the Volume- button simultaneously until you hear a beep. You will hear voice prompts such as "This is Standard Mode." or "This is Vocal Mode."
EQ modes can also be changed via the Shokz app.
Setting Up Multipoint Pairing
This feature allows you to connect your earphones to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
To set up multipoint pairing:
- Ensure the earphones are powered off.
- Press and hold the Volume+ button until you hear the "Pairing" voice prompt and the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
- Press and hold both the Multifunction button and the Power/Volume+ button until you hear the "Multipoint is available." voice prompt.
- On the first device's Bluetooth list, select "OpenRun Pro by Shokz". You will hear "Connected."
- Turn off the earphones.
- Press and hold the Volume+ button again until you hear the "Pairing" voice prompt and the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
- On the second device's Bluetooth list, select "OpenRun Pro by Shokz". You will hear "Connected."
- Turn off the earphones.
- Turn on the earphones. They are now connected to two devices. You will hear a voice prompt: "Hello, this is Shokz. Connected to the second device."
Note: You can use the Shokz app for easier device connection management.
Ending Multipoint Pairing
You can disable multipoint pairing when the earphones are powered off.
- Turn off the earphones.
- Press and hold the Volume+ button until you hear the "Pairing" voice prompt and the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
- Press and hold both the Multifunction button and the Volume- button simultaneously until you hear the "Multipoint is unavailable." voice prompt and the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
Note: Device connection settings can be managed more easily via the Shokz app.
Changing Language Settings
You can set the earphone language to Korean, English, Chinese, or Japanese.
- Turn off the earphones.
- Press and hold the Volume+ button until you hear the "Pairing" voice prompt and the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately.
- Double click the Multifunction button to change the language.
Note: You can also change the language via the Shokz app.
Maintenance and Care
Charging
When charging, the earphone power automatically turns off.
If the earphone battery is low, you will hear a voice prompt "Please charge." along with a flashing red LED indicator. Use the genuine charging cable for charging.
During charging, the LED indicator turns red, and the earphone power automatically turns off. When charging is complete, the LED indicator changes from red to blue.
Moisture Detection Alert
The earphones can detect liquids such as water, sweat, or rain. If the earphones are wet when the charging cable is plugged into the charging port, the LED indicator will flash red and blue, and a beep will be heard from the earphones. In this case, disconnect the charging cable and charge the earphones after they are completely dry.
Storage and Care
- Store the earphones in a cool, dry place. Use in environments with ambient temperatures of 0-45°C (32-113°F).
- Keep the earphones and charging case away from direct sunlight, heat sources, flammable gases, and other liquids. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or storage in a hot car may lead to explosion or other hazards.
- The earphones are water-resistant (IPX5), not waterproof. Do not immerse the earphones in water.
- Clean the earphones with a soft cloth.
- If the earphones are not used for an extended period, recharge them before use.
Battery Precautions:
- Never attempt to disassemble, modify, or cut the product to prevent risks of explosion, fire, or leakage of hazardous chemicals.
- Do not throw the earphones into water or fire.
- Do not use the earphones if they are damaged or deformed, for safety reasons.
Caution:
- To prevent short circuits, fire, or explosion hazards, ensure the charging port is completely dry before connecting the charging cable.
- Do not charge immediately after exercise, as sweat or moisture in the charging port may cause a fire during charging.
- Do not place the earphones near heat sources while charging.
- Always use the manufacturer-certified magnetic charging cable for charging. Uncertified charging cables may not comply with safety standards and could cause injury or product damage.
- This product must only be used with power supplies that meet the specified voltage requirements (e.g., UL, CSA, VDE, CDC) according to local regulations.
Driving Precautions:
Using this product while operating a vehicle may be illegal in some countries or regions. Please check the traffic rules or relevant laws in your area and comply with them, or consult your local regulatory authorities.
Skin Irritation:
- In rare cases, some users may experience skin allergies or irritation due to prolonged contact between the earphones and the skin.
- To prevent allergies, do not wear the product if you have any skin injuries around your neck, ears, or head, or if you have skin irritation.
- If redness, swelling, or itching of the skin occurs while wearing the product, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
