Principle of Operation

In a hygro-adjustable VMC system, airflow is automatically regulated according to the humidity level in rooms, responding to the building's actual ventilation needs. The BDH vent is installed in sanitary spaces.

Installation Notes

• The BDH must be installed in humid or technical rooms such as bathrooms, WCs, or utility rooms.
• Position the vent at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
• Ensure the vent is accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the vent's center and adjacent walls or the duct connection.
• Optimal airtightness between the vent and the connecting duct is crucial, preferably using a collar. A metal collar is recommended for collective housing (stainless steel collar is mandatory for Gas VMC), while a plastic collar can be used for individual homes.
• Versions with a 125 mm duct (fût) connect directly (via push-fit with O-ring) into collars, flexible ducts (RT Flex), or rigid/semi-rigid ducts.
• Versions with an 80 mm duct connect via push-fit into collars, rigid, or semi-rigid ducts.
• For ceiling installations or above furniture, use a cord return guide (code 11015001).
• For electrically controlled hygro-adjustable vents, two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011) are required.
• The vents operate within the 80-160 Pa pressure range.
• Extraction vents should be maintained and checked at least once a year. Connecting a mechanical hood to the VMC system is prohibited (Article 14 - Decree of March 24, 1982).
• Before replacing an old vent, record the pressure and the type of dwelling.
