Assembly & Installation Instructions
- Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the illustration.
- Turn off power: Before you start the installation, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
- ▶️ Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home.
- Place the main power switch in the "OFF" position.
- Place the wall switch in the "OFF" position.
- Unscrew knob nuts (G) from canopy (E). Remove mounting plate (C) and set it aside.
- Adjust arms (J) to an equal angle.
- 1) According to your desired hanging height, choose and use tubes (H). Then pass the fixture wires through the chosen tubes (H), swivel joint (F), and canopy (E). 2) Be sure that all the threaded pipes are tightened, then screw the chosen tubes (H) onto swivel joint (F) and the top of arms assembly (I). Hand tighten till snug.
- Attach mounting plate (C) to the outlet box with mounting screws (B). A diagram illustrates the mounting plate (C) being attached to an outlet box.
- Make wire connections: Connect wires as shown in the diagram. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GROUND WIRE IS BARE COPPER WIRE; NEVER CONNECT OTHER WIRES TO GROUND WIRES.
- Connect ground wires: Connect the green ground screw on the mounting plate to the fixture's ground wire and the outlet box's ground wire. Diagrams show two methods (A and B) for connecting ground wires.
- Connect supply wires:
- Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: Black wire.
- Connect White Supply Wire to: White wire.
- Connect Neutral Wire to: Neutral wire. (Note: For parallel wires, the neutral wire is typically square-shaped or ridged, while the other wire is round.)
- Supply Wire: Black or Red Supply Wire; Parallel cord (round & smooth); Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with copper conductor.
- Connect to Wire: Black; Parallel cord (square & ridged); Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with silver conductor.
Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors until tightly joined. Wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are exposed and then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
- Raise canopy (E) to the ceiling and secure canopy (E) in place by tightening knob nuts (G) onto the pre-assembled screws in mounting plate (C). Note: canopy (E) should be snug against the ceiling and knob nuts (G). If not, adjust the threaded length on mounting plate assembly (C) by unscrewing the pre-assembled hex nuts and screwing the pre-assembled screws in or out of mounting plate (C). When the secure length is achieved, tighten the hex nuts and return to step 8. A diagram illustrates the canopy attachment to the ceiling.
- 1) Remove socket rings (M) from sockets (K). 2) Carefully place lampshades (L) on sockets (K). 3) Secure them with socket rings (M). 4) Install bulbs (not included). Please do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended on the socket. A diagram shows the attachment of lampshades (L) and socket rings (M) to sockets (K).
- Check everything is already installed properly, then you could turn on the light. Enjoy!
