Installation Guide and Safety Instructions

WARNING

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury:

  1. Installation by a licensed electrician is suggested.
  2. Please read these instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
  3. Before starting, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
    • Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home and place the main power switch in the “OFF” position.
    • Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position.
  4. The mounting surface should be clean, dry, flat, and strong enough, and at least 1/4” larger than the canopy on all sides. Any gaps between the mounting surface and canopy exceeding 3/16” should be corrected as required.
  5. Make sure that the ceiling or wall can stand the weight of the lamp before installation.
  6. Ensure the voltage you are using is 120V. The maximum wattage is Type B, Max 40W per bulb.
  7. Keep the lamp away from acidic and alkaline substances to prevent damage to the lamp's surface.
  8. When replacing bulbs, turn off or unplug the lamp and wait until it is cool, as bulbs get hot quickly.
  9. The safety instructions in this manual are not exhaustive and do not cover all possible conditions. Common sense, caution, and care must be used with any electrical products.

Assembly & Installation Instructions

  1. Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the illustration.
  2. Turn off power: Before starting installation, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity. Go to the main fuse or circuit breaker box and place the main power switch in the “OFF” position. Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position.
  3. Unscrew knob nuts (G) from canopy (E) and then gently remove mounting plate (C).
  4. Adjust arms (J) to their proper position.
  5. Select tubes (H) according to your desired hanging height. Pass the fixture wires through the chosen tubes (H), swivel joint (F), and canopy (E). Screw the chosen tubes (H) into the swivel joint (F) and the top of arm assembly (I), then hand-tighten until snug.
  6. Attach mounting plate (C) to the outlet box using mounting screws (B).
  7. Make wire connections: Connect wires as shown in the diagrams. PLEASE NOTE: The ground wire is bare copper wire. NEVER connect other wires to ground wires.

    Ground Wire Connection: Connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground using the green ground screw.

    Supply Wire Connection:

    Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to:Connect White Supply Wire to:
    Black wire (*Parallel cord: round & smooth)White wire (*Parallel cord: square & ridged)
    Clear, Brown, Gold, or Black wire without tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with copper conductorClear, Brown, Gold, or Black wire with tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with silver conductor

    Note on parallel wires (SPT I & SPT II): The neutral wire is square-shaped or ridged, and the other wire will be round or smooth.

    • Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors (A) until tightly joined.
    • Wrap each connector with approved electrical tape.
    • Ensure no wire strands are exposed, then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
  8. Raise canopy (E) to the ceiling and secure it in place by tightening knob nuts (G) onto the pre-assembled screws in mounting plate (C). The canopy (E) should be snug against the ceiling. If not, adjust the threaded length on mounting plate (C) by unscrewing/screwing the pre-assembled screws and re-tightening the hex nuts.
  9. Adjust sockets (K) to a 90° angle as shown. Remove socket rings (M) from sockets (K). Place lampshades (L) onto sockets (K) and secure them using socket rings (M). Install bulbs (not included), ensuring not to exceed the maximum wattage recommended for the socket.
  10. Check that everything is installed properly, then you can turn on the light. Enjoy!

Cleaning

To clean, wipe the fixture with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads, powders, steel wool, or abrasive paper.
