Assembly & Installation Instructions
- Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and check that all parts and accessories are included as shown in the illustrations.
- Turn off power: Before starting installation, ensure electricity is shut off at the main fuse/circuit breaker and the wall switch is in the “OFF” position.
- Unscrew knob nuts (G) from the canopy (E) and gently remove the mounting plate (C).
- Adjust Hanging Height:
- Choose tubes (H) according to your desired hanging height.
- Pass the fixture wires through the chosen tubes (H), swivel joint (F), and canopy (E).
- Screw the chosen tubes (H) into the swivel joint (F) and the top of the arm assembly (I), then hand-tighten until snug.
- Attach the mounting plate (C) to the outlet box using mounting screws (B).
- Make Wire Connections:
Connect wires as shown in the diagrams. Ensure the ground wire is bare copper wire; never connect other wires to ground wires.
Ground Wire Connection:
Connect the fixture's ground wire to the outlet box's ground screw. This is typically done using the green ground screw (D). Ensure a secure connection.
Power Wire Connection:
Connect Black or Red Supply Wire to: Connect White Supply Wire to: Black (*Parallel cord: round & smooth; Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with copper conductor) White (*Parallel cord: square & ridged; Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with tracer; Insulated wire (other than green) with silver conductor) Note on Parallel Wires (SPT I & SPT II): The neutral wire is typically square-shaped or ridged, while the other wire is round or smooth.
Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors (A) until tightly joined. Wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Ensure no wire strands are exposed, then carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
- Raise the canopy (E) to the ceiling and secure it in place by tightening knob nuts (G) onto the pre-assembled screws in the mounting plate (C). The canopy (E) should be snug against the ceiling. If not, adjust the threaded length on the mounting plate (C) by unscrewing/screwing the pre-assembled hex nuts and screws.
- Attach Lampshades:
- Remove screws (L) from socket assemblies (K).
- Align the holes of the lampshades (M) with the holes of the socket assemblies (K) and secure them with screws (L).
- Install bulbs (Not included). Do not exceed the maximum wattage recommended on the socket (Type A, Max 60W per bulb).
- Check that everything is installed properly, then turn on the light. Enjoy!
