Operating Principle
In a hygro-adjustable VMC (Mechanical Ventilation Controlled) system, airflow is automatically regulated according to the room's humidity level, meeting the building's actual ventilation needs. The BDH vent is specifically installed in the kitchen.

The BDH is the hygro-adjustable vent designed for kitchens in individual houses and collective housing, suitable for both new builds and renovations. It is the large model hygro-adjustable vent with a capacity of 50m³/h.

Installation Guidelines
- The BDH vent must be installed in the kitchen.
- Position the vent at the top of a vertical wall or on the ceiling, at a height of at least 1.80 meters above the floor.
- Ensure the vent is accessible and removable, with at least 20 cm clearance between the vent's center and adjacent walls or non-adhering ductwork.
- The seal between the vent and the connecting duct must be optimal. This is improved by using a sleeve. A metal sleeve is recommended for collective housing (stainless steel sleeve is mandatory for Gas VMC), while a plastic sleeve can be used for individual houses.
- The vent attaches directly (via push-fit with O-ring) into a sleeve, RT Flex, rigid, or semi-rigid duct.
- For versions without a collar, it is fixed by clip onto a D 125 mm collar (Roll-In seal), D 116 mm (Roll-In seal), or D 100 mm (foam seal).
- To prevent hygro-adjustable kitchen vents from rotating during peak flow usage, it is recommended to fix them with two Ø 3.5 x 35 mm screws and two Ø 6 x 35 mm anchors.
- For corded vents installed on the ceiling or above furniture, use a cord return guide (code 11015001).
- NOTE: For electrically controlled hygro-adjustable vents, provide two AA/LR06 batteries and a standard push button (code 11026011).
- Hygro-adjustable vents operate within the pressure range of 80-160 Pa.
- Extraction vents must be maintained and checked at least once a year. Connecting a mechanical hood to the VMC system is prohibited (Art. 14 - decree of March 24, 1982).
- Before replacing an old vent with a new one, take a pressure reading and note the type of housing concerned.
