Installation Guide
Step 1: Prepare the Door & Check Dimensions
Ensure your door meets the following specifications:
- Door Hole Diameter: 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38mm or 54mm).
- Door Edge Hole Diameter: 1" (25mm).
- Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm).
- Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm).
NOTE: Make sure the door frame is aligned with the door and there are no obstructions stuck in the door frame.
Instructions for doors with 1-1/2" (38mm) holes:
1. Test Latch Hole Extension: Temporarily install the Latch bolt. If it is stuck, you need to extend the latch hole.
Visual check: "Fit properly" (✔️) vs. "Fit improperly" (❌).
To extend the latch hole, use a 1" (25.4mm) Drill Bit and drill at least 13/64" (5mm) deep.
2. Test Extended Latch Hole: Temporarily install the Latch bolt and rotate it with a screwdriver to test if it extends and retracts properly.
If the Latch bolt is stuck, remove it and chisel out a small channel at the top of the hole to allow the Cam to rotate.
Step 2: Install the Latch & Strike
1. Confirm Backset and Adjust Latch: Hold the Latch in front of the door hole, flush against the door edge. Ensure the slot hole is centered.
Visuals show "YES" (centered) and "NO" (not centered). If not centered, rotate and pull the Latch to adjust its length (options for 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backsets).
2. Install the Latch:
Shows installation for "Chiseled" and "Not Chiseled" door edges. Includes using Latch Screws (J) or Drive-In Collar (N).
3. Test Latch Bolt: Use a screwdriver to test if the Latch bolt extends and retracts properly.
Important: Before installation, the Latch bolt should be retracted completely (in the unlocked position).
Visuals show "Unlocked" (✔️) and "Locked" (❌).
4. Install Strike on Door Frame: Attach the Strike (D) and Reinforcement Plate (D-1) using Strike Screws (I).
Important: Make sure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) deep.
Step 3: Install Exterior Assembly
1. Measure Door Hole Diameter:
Shows measuring the door hole diameter (1-1/2" or 2-1/8"). If the hole is 2-1/8" (54mm), proceed to the next step directly. If it's 1-1/2" (38mm), remove the spacer on the exterior assembly.
2. Route Cable and Insert Torque Blade: Route the cable below the Latch and insert the Torque Blade through the slot in the Latch. Do not put the Mechanical Key in the cylinder during installation.
3. Install Mounting Plate: Attach the Mounting Plate (E) using Mounting Plate Screws (K). Keep the plate parallel to the door edge. Do not overtighten screws.
Shows optional Exterior Assembly Screw (L).
Step 4: Install Interior Assembly
1. Disassemble Battery Cover: Remove the Battery Cover (H).
2. Insert Cable Connector: Connect the cable to the socket firmly until completely attached.
Important: Do not load batteries until the lock is completely installed.
3. Attach Interior Assembly: Secure the Interior Assembly (G) to the Mounting Plate using 3 Interior Assembly Screws (L). Ensure you use the correct screws to avoid short-circuiting.
4. Insert Batteries: Insert 4 AA Alkaline batteries and attach the battery cover.
Shows the lock in the "Unlocked" state after battery insertion.

Troubleshooting
The Latch bolt keeps going in and out.
Disassemble and reinstall the lock following the installation tips:
- Do not insert the Mechanical Key in the lock cylinder during installation.
- Keep the Latch fully retracted and the Torque Blade horizontal.
- Ensure the cable is routed below the Latch.
- The Exterior and Interior Assemblies should be installed parallel to the door edge.
I cannot remove my key unless it is in the locked position.
Uninstall the Interior and Exterior Assemblies. Before re-installation, follow these guidelines:
- Make sure the Latch bolt is in the retracted position.
- Do not insert the Mechanical Key in the lock cylinder during installation.
- Make sure the Torque Blade is inserted horizontally.
Fail to reset.
- If the battery indicator light keeps flashing, the battery is low. Replace with 4 new Alkaline batteries.
- Refer to the "How to Reset" section and perform the resetting procedure again.
How to lock manually on the Keypad from outside?
- Touch ✔️ once.
- Press and hold any button for 2 seconds.
- Use your Fingerprint.
The Latch bolt won't be extended out completely after installation.
Review if the Exterior Assembly is aligned parallel to the door. It should not be at a crooked angle.
