Safety Warnings

Failure to follow instructions could result in serious injury or death.

INFANT SUFFOCATION HAZARD:

  • Do not allow gaps between the mattress and product sides.
  • NEVER add extra mattresses, pillows, comforters, or padding. Use only the Baby Trend® mattress.
  • The playard mattress/pad is designed to prevent suffocation, featuring a solid base, specific dimensions, and less than one inch thickness. Using a thicker or different sized mattress may cause a child's head to become trapped.
  • To reduce the risk of SIDS, place healthy infants on their back to sleep, unless advised otherwise by a physician.
  • NEVER use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers; they can cause suffocation.
  • NEVER use a water mattress with this product.

STRANGULATION HAZARD:

  • NEVER leave an infant in the product with sides down. Infant may roll into spaces between the pad and loose mesh sides, causing suffocation.
  • Strings can cause strangulation. NEVER place items with strings around a child's neck (e.g., hood strings, pacifier cords). NEVER suspend strings over the playard or attach them to toys.
  • NEVER place the product near windows where blind or drape cords can strangle a child.
  • Child entrapment and death can occur if improvised netting or covers are placed on the playard. Never add such items.
  • Ensure the full-size bassinet is fully assembled and locked before using accessories like the changing table.
  • NEVER leave a child in the product with sides lowered. Always ensure sides are raised and locked.
  • The playard, including side rails, must be fully erected and latches secure before use.
  • Discontinue use when a child can climb out, reaches 35 in. (890 mm), or weighs 30 lbs. (14 kg).
  • When a child can pull to stand, remove bumper pads, large toys, and other objects that could serve as steps.
  • ALWAYS provide necessary supervision for your child's safety. Never leave children unattended.

FALL HAZARD:

  • Ensure the playard and changing table are secure before placing a child in it. Check regularly.
  • NEVER leave the bassinet or changing table in place when a child is in the playard.
  • Only one child can use the Playard/Nursery Center at a time.
  • NEVER use if parts are loose, missing, broken, or fabric/mesh is torn. Check before assembly and periodically.

Assembly Instructions

General Assembly Notes:

  • Adult assembly is required.
  • Ensure all parts are securely locked before use.
  • Check parts for damage, loose joints, or missing pieces before each use.

To Assemble Playard:

  1. Unzip the carry bag and remove the playard frame. Undo fastening straps and set the mattress aside.
  2. Raise the top rails one by one. Pull up sharply on each rail, ensuring both tubes latch securely and the rail is rigid. Do not pull from the center latch area. The center must be raised while locking rails.
  3. Once all four top rails are locked, push down on the center handle. The center mechanism will rotate and lock. Test each top rail by pushing down slightly to confirm it is rigid.
  4. Place the mattress on the playard floor with the padded side facing up.
  5. Insert the hook and loop fasteners from the mattress underside through the slots in the playard floor. Fasten straps to the underside to secure the mattress. Ensure the center handle remains raised during this process.

Folding the Playard:

  1. Operate the wheel brakes by pressing down on the levers. Lift to release.
  2. Release the mattress hook and loop fasteners.
  3. Rotate the center handle counter-clockwise 90 degrees and raise the center to align with the top rails. Bring legs and wheels together towards the center.
  4. Locate the rail latch release on each rail. Squeeze the lever with two hands to release the tubes, then push down. If rails do not release, lift the center of the floor higher. Both tubes must be released for the top rail to fold.
  5. Gather the four corners and center of the playard tightly. Wrap the mattress around the frame with the padded side inward.
  6. Secure the mattress by feeding fasteners through loops and folding them back.
  7. Place the folded playard into the carry bag.

To Assemble Full-Size Bassinet:

  1. Ensure the playard is fully assembled and locked before installing the bassinet. Remove the playard mattress.
  2. Connect opposing Mattress Support Tubes to the bottom of the bassinet. Ensure tubes are connected securely.
  3. Position the bassinet over the assembled playard. Push down firmly on each plastic support clip until all are snapped into place.
  4. Place the bassinet mattress into the bassinet with the padded side facing upward.

To Remove Full-Size Bassinet:

  • Remove the mattress and canopy. Disconnect the Mattress Support Tubes. Unsnap all clips and lift the bassinet.

  • ALWAYS attach fasteners tightly and check frequently.
  • Do not add extra strings or straps.
  • Intended for visual stimulation, not grasping.

Changing Table:

  • FALL HAZARD: Serious injuries can occur from falls. Stay within arm's reach of your child. Secure the changing table to the frame according to manufacturer instructions.
  • SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Changing tables are not designed for safe sleep. NEVER allow baby to sleep on the changing table. Remove the changing table when not in use.
  • Always use the safety belt when the child is on the changing table.

  • Do not use if damaged or broken. Adjust belt for a snug fit.

  1. Connect the two (2) Long Curved Bars together.
  2. Insert the assembled curved bars into the changing table fabric, sliding them into the sleeves.

  4. Insert Connector Knob Prongs into the playard corners. Turn knobs clockwise to lock.
  5. Flip the changing table onto the playard. Snap the two (2) buttons on the flap down onto the playard.

To Secure Changing Table to Playard:

  1. Locate hook and loop fasteners on the changing table underside and playard side rails.
  2. Flip the changing table into its upper position.
  3. Secure the changing table to the playard frame by fastening the hook and loop fasteners on the underside of the table to the playard side rails.

To Use Changing Table Restraint System:

  1. Place child on the table, ensuring restraints are clear. Bring restraint around child's waist and buckle.
  2. Tighten strap for a snug fit, but do not over-tighten. Unscrew buckle to remove.
