Product Overview
The JA-110P PET is a bus device within the JABLOTRON system, designed to detect the presence of people indoors. Unlike standard JABLOTRON 100-series PIR motion detectors, this unit features a modified detection characteristic and basic pet immunity. It effectively filters out motion from small animals on the floor (up to approximately 25 kg and a maximum height of 40 cm). The detector operates with a pulse reaction and integrates into the system. Installation should be performed by a trained technician holding a valid certificate issued by an authorized distributor.
The detector only filters out motion from animals on the floor according to its detection characteristics. It is not suitable for monitoring areas where animals may move freely at higher elevations.
Installation
The detector can be mounted on a wall or in a room corner. Ensure the detector's field of view does not include objects that rapidly change temperature (e.g., electric heaters, gas appliances) or objects that move (e.g., curtains near radiators, robot vacuum cleaners). While the detector is highly resistant to false alarms, it is not recommended for installation in locations with intense air circulation (e.g., near ventilators, air conditioners, vents, or drafty doors). There should be no obstructions within the detector's field of view that could block sightlines into the monitored area.
The recommended installation height for the detector is 2 meters, with a maximum height of 2.2 meters.
Mounting Diagram Description
Figure 1 shows mounting options: 1 indicates holes for mounting on a flat wall; 2 and 4 indicate holes for mounting in a corner; 3 points to the PCB tab; 5 indicates the cover tab.
Installation Steps
- Open the detector cover by pressing the cover tab (5). Avoid touching the PIR sensor (11) inside, as this may damage it.
- Remove the circuit board (PCB) by releasing the tab (3).
- Drill holes for screws and the cable in the plastic base. The recommended installation height is 2 meters above the floor.
- Feed the bus cable through the holes and fix the plastic base to the wall using screws (vertically, with the cover tab facing downwards).
- Important: Always turn off system power before connecting the detector to the bus.
- Replace the circuit board and connect the cables to the terminals (8).
- Continue by following the control panel installation manual.
Basic Enrollment Instructions
- Open the F-Link software, select an unused position in the Devices category, and click the Register button to enter enrollment mode.
- Click the "Scan/add new bus devices" option, select the detector, and double-click to confirm. The yellow LED will turn off.
7. Close the detector cover and test the detector's function.
Notes
- The detector can also be registered in the system by entering its production code into the F-Link software. The production code is found on the sticker (9) on the detector board. All numbers under the barcode must be entered (e.g., 1400-00-0000-0001).
- The detector can also be registered in the system by pressing the cover tamper sensor (10).
- To comply with the EN 50131-3 standard, the cover tab (5) must be secured with the provided screw.
Detector Properties
Setting Detector Properties
Open the F-Link software and navigate to the Devices tab. Click the "Internal settings" button next to the detector's position to open a dialog window where you can configure:
- LED Motion Indication: Allows disabling the motion indication via the red LED.
Detector Testing
In service mode, the detector's red LED indicates every motion, regardless of the detector's property settings. Individual detector activations can also be monitored in the Diagnostics tab of the F-Link software.
Detection Characteristics
The detector is equipped with a standard lens covering 90° / 12 m. Refer to the following figure. In the white area of the diagram, the detector filters out motion from small animals weighing up to approximately 25 kg and with a maximum height of 40 cm. The grey area represents standard detection.
Figure 3 Description: Detection pattern diagram showing a 90-degree detection angle up to 12 meters. The white sector, covering approximately 7 meters, indicates the zone where small pets (up to 25 kg, 40 cm height) are immune to detection. The grey sector indicates standard detection.
