JABLOTRON JA-110P PET: PIR Motion Detector with Pet Immunity
This document provides installation, setup, and technical details for the JABLOTRON JA-110P PET PIR motion detector.
Product Overview
The JA-110P PET is a bus-connected device designed for the JABLOTRON system to detect human movement indoors. It features modified detection characteristics and basic pet immunity, allowing it to ignore the movement of small animals on the floor (up to approximately 25 kg and 40 cm in length). The detector uses a pulse reaction and occupies one position within the system. Installation must be performed by a trained technician certified by an authorized dealer.
The detector is effective at ignoring floor-level animal movement but is not suitable for areas where animals may move freely at higher elevations.
Installation
Mount the detector on a wall or in a corner. Ensure the field of view is clear of objects that rapidly change temperature (e.g., electric heaters, gas appliances) or move (e.g., curtains near radiators, robot vacuum cleaners). Avoid locations with strong air circulation (near fans, air conditioning, drafty doors) to prevent false alarms. The detector's view must not be obstructed.
Recommended installation height: 2 meters above the floor. Maximum installation height: 2.2 meters.
Mounting and Wiring
Figure 1: Mounting Points
- 1, 2, 4: Mounting holes for flat wall or corner installation.
- 3: PCB disconnect tab.
- 5: Cover tab.
Installation Steps:
- Open the detector cover by pressing the cover tab (5). Avoid touching the internal PIR sensor (11) to prevent damage.
- Remove the PCB by releasing the tab (3).
- Drill holes in the plastic base for screws and cable entry.
- Feed the bus cable through and secure the plastic base to the wall with screws (vertically, cover tab downwards). Always disconnect system power before connecting the detector to the bus.
- Reinsert the PCB and connect cables to the terminals (8).

Proceed according to the control panel installation instructions.
Basic Setup:
- Open the F-Link software, select an available slot on the Devices tab, and click Register to enter registration mode.
- Click Scan/Add new bus devices, select the detector, and confirm by double-clicking. The yellow LED will turn off.
Close the detector cover and test its operation.
Notes:
- The detector can be registered by entering its production code (9) into F-Link software. The code is on the PCB label (e.g., 1400-00-0000-0001).
- Registration is also possible by pressing the cover tamper sensor (10).
- To comply with EN 50131-3, secure the cover tab (5) with the provided screw.
Setting Detector Features
In the F-Link software, navigate to the Devices tab. Click Internal Settings for the detector's position to access a dialog for configuration:
- LED motion indicator: Option to disable the red LED motion indication.
Detector Testing
In service mode, the red LED indicates motion. Individual activations can be monitored via the F-Link software's Diagnostics tab.
Detection Characteristics
The detector is equipped with a lens providing a 90° angle of detection up to 12 meters. This is illustrated in the figure below.
Figure 3: Detection Characteristics
The white area of the diagram shows where the detector ignores movement from small animals (up to approx. 25 kg, 40 cm height). The grey area indicates standard detection coverage.
- Standard detection range: 90° / 12 m.
- Pet immunity detection range: 90° / 7 m (for animals up to 25 kg, 40 cm height).
- Maximum installation height: 2.2 m.
