The JA-110P PET is a bus device in the JABLOTRON system. It is used to detect the movement of people inside buildings. Unlike standard PIR motion detectors from the JABLOTRON 100 series, this detector has a modified detection characteristic and is equipped with basic pet immunity. The detector eliminates the effects of small animals moving on the floor (animals weighing up to approximately 25 kg and with a maximum height of 40 cm). The detector has a pulse reaction and occupies one position in the system. The detector must be installed by a trained technician with a valid certificate issued by an authorized distributor.
The detector only eliminates the effects of animal movement on the floor according to its detection characteristics. It is not suitable for monitoring areas where animals can move freely in height!
Installation
The detector can be installed on a wall or in a corner of a room. Remember that the detector's field of view should not include objects that change temperature rapidly (electric heaters, gas appliances, etc.), or objects that move (curtains hanging over a radiator, robot vacuum cleaners, etc.). Although the detector is highly resistant to false alarms, it is not recommended to install the detector in places with intense air circulation (close to fans, air conditioners, ventilation openings, unsealed doors, etc.). There should be no obstacles in the detector's field of view that could obstruct its view of the monitored area.
The recommended detector installation height is 2 m, with a maximum height of 2.2 m.
Installation Diagram
Figure 1 illustrates installation points:
- 1: Holes for wall mounting on a flat surface.
- 2, 4: Holes for corner mounting.
- 3: PCB flap for detaching the circuit board.
- 5: Cover flap for opening the detector.
Installation Steps
- Open the detector cover by pressing the cover flap (5). Avoid touching the PIR sensor (11) inside to prevent damage.
- Remove the circuit board by detaching it from the flap (3).
- Pass mounting screws and the cable through the holes in the plastic base. The recommended detector installation height is 2 m above the floor.
- Attach the plastic base to the wall using screws (vertically, with the cover flap facing downwards). ⚠️ Warning: Always turn off the system before connecting the detector to the bus.
- Reattach the circuit board and connect the cables to the terminals (8).
Detector Components
Figure 2 shows the detector's components:
- 6: Red activation LED.
- 7: Yellow fault LED.
- 8: Bus terminals for connection.
- 9: Production code label.
- 10: Cover tamper sensor.
- 11: PIR sensor.
System Enrollment
Follow the control panel's installation guide. Basic steps include:
- Open F-Link software, select an unused position on the Devices tab, and click 'Enroll' to enter enrollment mode.
- Click 'Scan/add new bus devices', select the detector, and double-click to confirm. The yellow LED will turn off.
Close the detector cover and test its function.
Notes
- The detector can also be enrolled by entering its production code (9) into the F-Link software. The code is found on the label below the barcode (e.g., 1400-00-0000-0001).
- Enrollment can also be initiated by pressing the cover tamper sensor (10).
- To comply with EN 50131-3 standards, the cover tamper flap (5) must be secured with the provided screw.
Setting Detector Properties
Open F-Link software, navigate to the Devices tab, and click 'Internal settings' for the detector's position to open a dialog for configuring:
- LED motion indication: Allows disabling the red LED motion indicator.
Detector Testing
In service mode, the detector's red LED indicates every motion event, irrespective of the configured settings. Individual detector activations can also be monitored in the 'Diagnostics' tab within the F-Link software.
Detection Characteristics
The detector is equipped with a lens covering 90° / 12 m by default. The white zone of the diagram indicates areas where the detector eliminates the effects of small animal movement (up to approximately 25 kg and 40 cm height). The grey zone represents standard detection.
