Safety Instructions
Before installing or using the product, read these instructions carefully. Please strictly observe the precautions in use.
General Safety Precautions
- To avoid any risk of fire, electric shock or injury, use and install the product in compliance with basic safety precautions.
- Always follow the installation instructions provided with the product.
- Do not connect or use the product during thunderstorms.
- If the product is used for voice communication, acoustic shocks may occur, and excessive acoustic pressure can cause deafness.
- The product must be installed inside a building and its case must not be opened.
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the rear panel and to a computer's Ethernet port.
- Connect only to in-house equipment (SELV interface).
- Connect a telephony cable to the telephony port on the rear panel and to a phone's telephony port.
- Keep plastic bags out of reach of children as they present a risk of suffocation.
- The product is designed for vertical use.
- For wall mounting, use screws and dowels suitable for the wall material. Recommended screw diameter: 3.5 mm, length: 30 mm or more. Recommended dowel diameter: 5 mm, length: 30 mm.
Climatic Conditions
- Designed for use in an office or room with a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F).
- Do not install in areas with excessive sunshine and/or heat radiation.
- Avoid installation where heat builds up (e.g., on or under other electrical equipment) and exposure to moisture or condensation.
- Install in an environment classified as pollution degree 2 (pollution-free environment with dry, non-conducting pollution).
Water and Moisture
- Do not install in damp or dusty environments. Avoid contact with water or other liquids. No liquid must enter the product.
- Do not use near water outlets (bath, washbasin, washing machine), in damp basements, or near swimming pools.
- If liquid or substance enters the product, switch it off immediately or unplug the power cord. Continued use may cause electric discharge or fire.
- Allow the product to dry before switching on if moved from a cold to a warm environment to prevent condensation.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the product electrically from the wall socket and computer before cleaning.
- Do not use detergents, aerosols, chemicals likely to damage plastic materials, alcohol, benzene, diluents, or other flammable products, as this may cause fire.
- Do not dismantle the product to reduce the risk of electric shock. Internal parts are not user-replaceable. Opening covers may expose you to dangerous voltages. Incorrect re-assembly can cause electric shock. Contact customer service for repairs.
Power Supply
- Use only the supplied power unit and accessories. Connect them according to instructions and the identification label.
- Using non-recommended power sources may cause overheating, deformation, electric discharge, or fire.
Accessibility & Electrical Overload
- Ensure the power unit is easily accessible and close to the equipment for quick unplugging in case of a problem.
- Do not plug too many devices into a mains socket block or extensions to avoid increasing fire or electric shock risk.
Damage Requiring Repair
- Unplug the appliance and have it repaired by qualified service if:
- The power supply or plug is damaged.
- A supplied cable is damaged or frayed.
- Liquid has been spilled into the appliance, or it has been exposed to rain or water.
- The appliance does not function normally or shows performance variations.
- The appliance has fallen or is damaged.
- There is any sign of overheating.
- If small metal objects enter the equipment, disconnect it immediately (risk of electric shock) and contact Customer Service. Do not reconnect until foreign bodies are removed.
- Unplug immediately if you notice a burning smell or smoke. Do not open the product yourself due to the risk of electric shock.
Usage Environment and Restrictions
- This equipment is designed for private use inside a building. Ethernet and telephony ports are intended for indoor cable circuits within the building.
- Wireless device use may be prohibited in certain environments. Ask for permission before switching on if unsure about policies (e.g., in airports). Sagemcom Broadband SAS is not responsible for non-compliance with regulations or radio interference caused by non-compliance.
CE Compliance
Sagemcom confirms this product complies with the fundamental requirements and relevant provisions of directive 2014/53/EU. This marking certifies compliance with health and safety, electromagnetic compatibility, radio frequency spectrum use, and environmental impact reduction.
This device produces radio frequencies within the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz range. To limit exposure, keep the device at least 20 cm from people. Frequency bands and maximum transmitted power:
- 2400-2483.5 MHz: 100 mW
- 5150-5350 MHz: 200 mW
- 5470-5725 MHz: 1 W

Wi-Fi 5 GHz: The 5150-5350 MHz band is limited to indoor use in these countries and the United Kingdom.
