General Precautions
- Always follow the installation instructions provided with the product.
- Do not connect or use this product during thunderstorms to prevent electric discharges or shocks from mains and/or telephone network interference.
- Acoustic shocks may occur during voice communication, and excessive acoustic pressure can cause deafness.
- The product must be installed indoors and its case must not be opened.
- Connect Ethernet cables to the Ethernet port and telephony cables to the telephony port.
- Do not connect directly to the public cable distribution or cable television network.
- Keep plastic bags out of reach of children due to suffocation risk.
- The product is designed for vertical use.
- When mounting on a wall, use appropriate screws and dowels (recommended: 3.5mm diameter, 30mm length screws; 5mm diameter, 30mm length dowels).
Climatic Conditions
This product is designed for office or room use with a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C (104°F). Avoid installation in areas with excessive sunshine, heat radiation, or where heat can build up (e.g., under other electrical equipment). Do not expose to moisture or condensation. Install in an environment classified as pollution degree 2 (dry, non-conducting pollution).
Water and Moisture
Do not install in damp or dusty environments. Prevent contact with water or other liquids. If liquid enters the product, switch it off immediately or unplug the power cord. Continued use may cause electrical discharge or fire. Allow the product to dry before switching it back on if moved from a cold to a warm environment, as condensation may occur.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the product from the power outlet and computer before cleaning.
- Do not use detergents, aerosols, chemicals, alcohol, benzene, or diluents, as these may cause fire.
- Do not dismantle the product to avoid the risk of electric shock. Internal parts are not user-replaceable. Opening covers may expose you to dangerous voltages. Incorrect re-assembly can lead to electric shock. Contact customer service for repairs or servicing.
Power Supply
- Use only the supplied power unit and accessories. Connect them according to the instructions and identification label.
- Using non-recommended power sources may cause overheating, deformation, electric discharge, or fire.
- The coaxial cable shield should be connected to the building's power supply earth.
Accessibility & Electrical Overload
- Ensure the power unit is easily accessible and close to the equipment for quick unplugging in case of a problem.
- Avoid plugging too many devices into a single socket or extension cord to reduce fire or electric shock risk.
Damage Requiring Repair
Unplug the product and contact qualified after-sales service if:
- The power supply or plug is damaged.
- A supplied cable is damaged or frayed.
- Liquid has been spilled into the product, or it has been exposed to rain or water.
- The product is not functioning normally or performance varies significantly.
- The product has fallen or is damaged.
- There are signs of overheating.
- If small metal objects accidentally enter the product, disconnect from mains immediately (risk of electric shock) and contact Customer Service. Do not reconnect until foreign bodies are removed. Unplug immediately if you notice a burning smell or smoke. Do not open the product yourself due to electric shock risk.
Environmental and Usage Restrictions
This equipment is designed for private use indoors. Ethernet and telephony ports are intended for indoor cable circuits within the building of installation and must not terminate on remote equipment with a different earthing network. Wireless device usage may be prohibited by building owners or organizations in certain environments. Seek permission before use if unsure, especially in locations like airports.
