Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before installing or using the product and strictly observe the precautions in use.
General Safety Precautions
To avoid any risk of fire, electric shock or injury, the product should be used in compliance with basic safety precautions, including:
- Always follow the installation instructions provided with the product.
- Do not connect or use this product during thunderstorms. Interference from the mains and/or cable network can cause electric discharges and electric shock. Acoustic shocks may also occur in the earpiece, potentially causing deafness.
- The product must be installed inside a building, and its case must not be opened.
- Plastic bags present a risk of suffocation. Keep out of reach of children.
- The product is designed for vertical position.
- For wall mounting, use screws of appropriate type and length (recommended diameter: 5 mm, length: 30 mm or more) and dowels (recommended diameter: 6 mm, length: 30 mm).
Climatic Conditions
- Designed for office or home use in ambient temperatures up to 45°C (113°F).
- Do not install in areas with excessive sunshine, heat radiation, or where heat can build up (e.g., under other electrical equipment).
- Avoid installation in environments with moisture or condensation.
- Install in an environment classified as pollution degree 2 (pollution-free or dry, non-conducting pollution).
Water and Moisture
- Do not install in damp or dusty environments.
- Keep the product away from water and liquids. Do not allow any liquid inside the product.
- Do not use near water outlets (bath, washbasin, washing machine) or swimming pools.
- If liquid or any substance enters the appliance, switch it off immediately or unplug it. Continued use may cause electric discharge or fire.
- Allow the appliance to dry thoroughly before switching it back on if moved from a cold to a warm environment, as condensation may form.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Disconnect the appliance electrically from the wall socket and computer before cleaning.
- Do not use detergents, aerosols, or chemicals that could damage plastic materials, or substances containing alcohol, benzene, or diluent.
- Do not dismantle the product. Internal parts are not user-replaceable. Opening covers may expose you to dangerous voltages and incorrect re-assembly can lead to electric shock. Contact Customer Service for repairs or servicing.
Power Supply
- Use only the supplied power unit and accessories.
- Connect to the mains according to installation instructions and the identification label (mains voltage, current, frequency).
- Using unauthorized power sources may cause overheating, deformation, electric discharge, or fire.
- The coaxial cable shield should be connected to the building's power supply earth.
Accessibility & Electrical Overload
- Ensure the power unit is easily accessible and close to the equipment for quick unplugging in case of a problem.
- Do not overload mains sockets or extensions to prevent fire or electric shock risks.
Damage Requiring Repair
- Unplug and contact qualified after-sales service if the power supply, plug, or cables are damaged or frayed.
- Contact Customer Service if liquid has been spilled on the appliance, it has been exposed to rain or water, it is not functioning normally, its performance has varied considerably, it has fallen, is damaged, or shows signs of overheating.
- If small metal objects accidentally enter the appliance, disconnect it immediately (risk of electric shock) and contact Customer Service. Do not reconnect until foreign bodies are removed.
- Unplug immediately if you notice a burning smell or smoke. Do not open the appliance yourself due to the risk of electric shock.
Product Usage and Connectivity
- This equipment is designed for private use inside a building.
- Ethernet ports (PORT1 to PORT4, FXS) are intended for indoor cable circuits exclusively within the building where the product is installed. They do not terminate on remote equipment earthed to a different earthing network.
Wireless Device Usage Policy
- In certain environments, wireless device usage may be prohibited by the building owner or organization.
- If unsure about policies in specific organizations (e.g., airports), seek permission before using the appliance.
- Sagemcom Broadband SAS is not responsible for non-compliance with regulations or radio interference caused by non-adherence to national regulations.
Disposal Information
This symbol ♻️ indicates that the appliance must be collected separately and not disposed of with household waste. The European Union has a specific collection and recycling scheme for which manufacturers are responsible.
- Utilize local collection points (recycling centers, sorted waste collection).
- Retail outlets will accept end-of-life equipment free of charge when purchasing equivalent equipment.
- Follow sorting rules for packaging waste to facilitate recycling.
- Electrical and electronic appliances may contain hazardous materials. Dispose of them properly to protect health and the environment.
- Professional users should refer to supplier instructions.
- Rented or deposited appliances require contacting the service provider.
