1. Important Safety Instructions

Hearing Protection

Hazard: To avoid hearing damage, limit the time you use the headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The higher the volume, the shorter the listening time.

3. Getting Started

Charge the battery

ℹ️ Note:

Connect the supplied USB charging cable:

➡️ The LED will be white while charging and will turn off when the headphones are fully charged.

Tip: It usually takes 2 hours for a full charge.

Replace the battery

The battery is replaceable. A special prying tool is required to remove the left earcup cover to replace the battery.

ℹ️ Note: A special prying tool is required. The prying tool will be provided free of charge with the purchase of a replacement battery.

Download the app

Scan the QR code or press "Download" or search for "Philips Headphones" in the Apple App Store or Google Play to download the app.

The Philips Headphones app helps you manage the music you listen to. You can adjust the sound to best suit your music and call experience.

Pair the headphones with a Bluetooth device for the first time

  1. Ensure the headphones are fully charged and turned off.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds; the headphones will enter pairing mode and be ready to connect.

➡️ The LED on the headphones will flash white and blue alternately.

➡️ The headphones are now in pairing mode and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device (e.g., a mobile phone).

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device.
  2. Pair the headphones with your Bluetooth device by following your Bluetooth device's user manual.

ℹ️ Note:

The following example shows how to pair the headphones with a Bluetooth device:

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device and select "Philips TAH8000E".
  2. Enter the headphone password: "0000" (4 zeros) if prompted. For devices with Bluetooth version 3.0 or higher, a password is not required.

Pair the headphones with another Bluetooth device

If you want to pair another Bluetooth device with the headphones, turn on the headphones, then press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds and find the other device as usual for pairing.

ℹ️ Note: The headphones store up to 5 devices in memory. If you try to pair more than 5 devices, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the new one.

ℹ️ Note: When streaming audio from device 1, receiving a call from device 2 will automatically pause playback on device 1. The call will be automatically directed to the headphones. When the call ends, playback from device 1 will automatically resume.

Connect the headphones using a 3.5 mm audio cable

When the headphone battery is depleted or your device does not have Bluetooth capability, the headphones can be connected to the device using a 3.5 mm audio cable.

4. Using Your Headphones

Connect your headphones to your Bluetooth device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device.
  2. Press and hold the power button to turn on the headphones.

➡️ The white LED lights will turn on for 2 seconds.

➡️ The headphones will automatically reconnect to the mobile phone/Bluetooth device they were last connected to.

Savjet: If you turn on the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device after turning on the headphones, you must go to the device's Bluetooth menu and manually connect the headphones.

ℹ️ Note: On some Bluetooth devices, connection may not be automatic. In this case, you must go to your device's Bluetooth menu and manually connect the headphones to the Bluetooth device.

Turning on/off

Control ANC (Active Noise Cancellation)

Enable ANC

Different ANC modes can be switched by pressing the button on the right earcup.

ℹ️ Note: When ANC is on and charging, this model supports active noise cancellation (ANC) both wirelessly via Bluetooth and wired via the 3.5 mm jack.

ℹ️ Note: You will hear a tone indicating when the volume has reached the maximum level.

5. Resetting the Headphones

If you encounter problems with pairing or connecting, follow this procedure to restore the headphones to factory settings.

  1. On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth menu and remove "Philips TAH8000E" from the device list.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth function of your Bluetooth device.
  3. Turn on the headphones.
  4. Simultaneously press and hold the power button and the ANC button for 4 seconds.
  5. Follow the steps in "Using Your Headphones - Connect your headphones to your Bluetooth device".
  6. Pair the headphones with your Bluetooth device, select "Philips TAH8000E".

Disposal of your old product and battery

Your product is designed and manufactured with high-quality materials and components, which can be recycled and reused.

This symbol on the product means it is covered by the European Directive 2012/19/EU.

This symbol means the product contains a battery covered by the European Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, and must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Inform yourself about the rules for separate collection of electrical and electronic products and rechargeable batteries in your area. Follow local regulations and never dispose of the product and batteries with household waste. Proper disposal of old products and batteries helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Removing the built-in battery

If your country does not have a system for collecting/recycling electronic products, you can protect the environment by removing and recycling the battery before disposing of the headphones.

9. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

My Bluetooth headphones cannot be turned on.

The battery level is low. Charge the headphones.

I cannot pair the Bluetooth headphones with a Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth is turned off. Enable the Bluetooth option on your Bluetooth device and turn on the Bluetooth device before turning on your headphones.

How to reset pairing.

While the device is on, press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds until the blue LED flashes. This activates the re-pairing mode in two cases: 1) Changing devices in multipoint mode; 2) Connecting to a new source device.

I can hear, but I cannot control music on the Bluetooth device (e.g., play/pause/skip forward/backward).

Check if your Bluetooth audio source supports AVRCP (see 'Technical Specifications' on page 12).

The volume level on the headphones is too low.

Some Bluetooth devices cannot synchronize the volume level with the headphones. In this case, you must adjust the volume independently on your Bluetooth device to achieve the desired volume level.

The Bluetooth device cannot find the headphones.

My Bluetooth headphones are connected to a Bluetooth stereo mobile phone, but music is only playing from the phone's speaker.

Refer to your mobile phone's user manual. Select to listen to music via the headphones.

Sound quality is poor and crackling.

Clean your headphones regularly.

Charge your headphones regularly.

If the headphones with microphone are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To avoid this loss, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.
