User Manual Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips! To make the most of the support offered by Philips, register your product at www.philips.com/support. With these Philips headphones, you can: Your Philips TAH8000E over-ear ANC headphones include: Mobile phones or devices that support Bluetooth function and are compatible with the headphones (see 'Technical data' on page 13). Examples include: mobile phones, tablets, Bluetooth adapters, MP3 players, etc. Diagrams show the top and bottom views of the headphones with numbered components: Note: Before using the headphones, charge the battery for 2 hours to maximize its capacity and lifespan. Connect the supplied USB charging cable: → The indicator light will glow white while charging and turn off when the headphones are fully charged. Tip: Full charging usually takes about 2 hours. The battery can be replaced. To replace the battery, the left earcup cover needs to be removed, which requires a special tool. Note: A special tool is required. This tool is provided free of charge when purchasing a replacement battery. You can adjust the audio settings to ensure they are perfect for your music and calls. The headphones are in pairing mode and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device (e.g., mobile phone). Note: The following illustrates how to pair your headphones with a Bluetooth device: If you want to pair your headphones with another Bluetooth device, turn on the headphones, press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds, and then find the second device as you would during normal pairing. Note: The headphones can store up to 5 paired devices. If you try to pair more than 5 devices, the earliest paired device will be replaced by the new one. Note: You can connect your headphones via a 3.5 mm audio cable when the battery is depleted or if your device does not have Bluetooth. Tip: If you turn on the Bluetooth function on your device after turning on the headphones, you may need to manually connect the headphones from the Bluetooth menu on your device. Note: Some Bluetooth devices may not connect automatically. In this case, go to the Bluetooth menu on your device and manually connect the headphones. Activating ANC You can switch between ANC modes by pressing the ☆ button on the right earcup once. Note: You will hear an audible signal when the volume reaches the maximum level. The LED indicator shows the status of your headphones: If you encounter difficulties during pairing or connection, follow the steps below to reset the headphones to their factory default settings: Note: Technical specifications are subject to change without notice. Google and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. The battery level is low. Charge your headphones. Bluetooth is turned off. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and turn on the headphones before turning on Bluetooth on your device. Reset pairing. With the device on, press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds until the blue LED flashes. This will activate re-pairing mode in the following situations: 1) when switching devices in multipoint connection mode; 2) when connecting to a new source device. Check if your Bluetooth audio source supports AVRCP (see 'Technical data' on page 13). Some Bluetooth devices do not synchronize volume levels with the headphones. In this case, adjust the volume on your Bluetooth device to achieve the desired volume level. Refer to your mobile phone's user manual. Select the option to play music through the headphones. Periodically wipe the headphones, especially the sound outlets and microphone openings, with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not allow dirt or earwax to accumulate. If earwax or moisture gets into the sound outlets, ambient sound holes, or microphone openings, the sound may be temporarily reduced or completely lost. This is not a defect. Dry the headphones thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth. Remove the ear tips, hold the headphones with the sound outlets facing downwards, and gently tap them five times against a dry cloth or similar material to remove any moisture inside. Ensure the headphones are completely dry before charging or use. Do not use alcohol wipes or similar cleaning agents. If the headphones are not used for an extended period, the rechargeable battery may lose capacity. To prevent this, fully charge the battery at least once every three months.
